JCW’s Jasmin St. Claire has fiercely addressed younger female wrestlers who attempted to undermine her credibility by weaponizing her past in adult entertainment. In a no-holds-barred interview with Wrestling with Heart, the veteran emphasized that her time in the adult industry was relatively short, while her professional achievements and dedication to wrestling span far longer. Trained by the legendary Mando Guerrero, St. Claire expressed her deep passion for the business, which began with her breakout opportunity in ECW, and made it clear she will not allow critics to diminish her hard-earned accomplishments.
“A lot of the time when I got bullied by these younger girls, I wouldn’t even say bullied cuz they’re so stupid. You know, they want to try to hold that on me. Oh, you shouldn’t be in the business. Well, actually, I was trained by Mando Guerrero, and I was doing this for a long time … Actually, I always wanted to work in the business, but this opportunity came to me in the form of ECW because they were friends with that guy I worked for who had some other backyard company, and so ECW was where I worked first.” – Jasmin St. Claire
Born Rhea De Vlugt, Jasmin St. Claire entered the adult film world in the mid-1990s after working as a topless dancer in Manhattan. Active in the mid-to-late ’90s, she appeared in roughly three dozen films and became known for extreme scenes, most notably World’s Biggest G*ng B*ng 2 in 1996. She later described the project as one of the industry’s biggest cons due to inflated claims. She retired from adult films around 1999–2000 to focus on professional wrestling full-time, she was ultimately inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2011.
