ECW Original Wants AEW To Hire Tommy Dreamer

ECW legend D-Von Dudley has publicly urged AEW to sign Tommy Dreamer following his recent departure from TNA. Speaking on the Duke Loves Rasslin podcast, the tag team specialist praised Dreamer’s sharp wrestling mind and suggested he could be a valuable backstage asset, similar to Michael Hayes or Pat Patterson. D-Von encouraged Tony Khan to bring in Dreamer for his proven creative expertise, believing the veteran’s deep knowledge of the business would be a major asset to AEW.

I think, you know, if Tony Khan is listening, Tommy Dreamer is definitely somebody that can be used in that aspect. He could be your Michael Hayes or your Pat Patterson, things like that, because Tommy’s very, very good. Again, I’m telling you, he has a great mind for this business.– D-Von Dudley

Throughout his career, Tommy Dreamer has earned widespread respect for his impactful backstage contributions. In ECW, the Innovator of Violence assisted with creative and operations under Paul Heyman. In WWE, he worked as a producer and helped oversee developmental territories, including OVW, where he mentored rising talent. Most recently in TNA/Impact, Dreamer thrived in multiple roles, including producer, talent relations executive, and creative team member, helping shape the company’s television product until his departure in 2026.
