In April 2020, Bronson Rechsteiner, the son of Rick Steiner, signed with the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted rookie. This was based on him leading Kennesaw State with 909 yards rushing last season, averaging 8 yards per carry. Unforetauntly for him, a football career doesn’t seem to be in his future as he was recently released.
Thankfully for Bronson has professional wrestling to fall back on due to his father and uncle being The Steiner Brothers, one of the most iconic tag teams in wrestling history. With his size and family, name doors will always open for him, and it’s understood he has already had a tryout with WWE.
It isn’t yet known how he did, but Bronson recently made his in-ring debut on an independent show in Georgia back in late October, where he would be accompanied by his uncle Scott to the ring. He’d win the match with The Steiner Recliner, and you can check out his in-ring skills in the below video.

Being a second-generation wrestler doesn’t guarantee success, as the careers of David Flair, Scott Putski, Shawn Stasiak, and Erik Watts prove. That said, none of those wrestlers had the athletic ability to make it to the NFL to begin with, so we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Bronson.
This past Sunday’s Survivor Series saw the final appearance of The Undertaker in character, and to mark the occasion, the WWE concluded the show with a tribute to him. This included the introduction of numerous wrestlers from his past that he considers good friends, such as Mick Foley, The Godfather, the Godwinns, Savio Vega, Rikishi, Booker T, and Kane. Although before The Undertaker was introduced, all the men cleared the ring and non interacted with him. It felt like a wasted opportunity, and many fans criticized this online.
Following the event, The Godfather shared a photo of himself hugging The Undertaker on Instagram, and fans jumped on this as an opportunity to vent in the comments.
One fan said the farewell was boring and questioned what the point of everyone coming to the ring was. Godfather would reply simply with: “right.” Another fan would agree with this and said he wanted more from the legends, which Godfather responded with: “could’ve been written better.” Another added that the send of was embarrassing for someone the caliber of Taker, and it would have been more entertaining seeing The Undertaker and his friends hang out at the bar together, which promoted Godfather to reply: “Well said. And you right the night before was epic.”
It’s understood that Vince McMahon planned the segment, so the blame falls directly on him. While the production was top-notch, especially with the Paul Bearer hologram they used, the lack of fans did take a lot away from what should have been a momentous occasion. Hopefully, when the world can return to normal, The Undertaker can get his Hall of Fame induction in front of a live audience, so fake chants aren’t required.
Young Rock is an upcoming NBC series that explores The Rock’s unique childhood. The Rock lived a fascinating life due to being the son of a professional wrestler Rocky Johnson and would know legendary wrestlers like André the Giant not for their stardom, but as family friends. He’d also call numerous places home throughout his youth, including New Zealand, North Carolina, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Hawaii, predominantly due to his father’s career.
Filming is currently underway in Australia, and The Rock has shared several photos on Instagram to whet fans appetites. You can see the actors portraying his parents, André the Giant, Iron Sheik, and the Junkyard Dog in the below photos.

The series is being produced by The Rock’s company Seven Bucks Productions, named for the amount of money Johnson had in his pocket after being released from the Canadian Football League in 1995. They previously were involved in bringing to life the story of Paige’s journey to WWE to the big screen with Fighting With My Family. As of yet, no release date for Young Rock has been confirmed, but 2021 is expected.
Despite making huge profits, WWE has been furloughing and letting go of talents and staff over the last six months. However, two producers who were among those furloughed in April are now back working for the company. Hurricane Helms worked at both Survivor Series and Raw, while Fit Finlay was backstage this past Wednesday at NXT.
Finlay has been praised for his work with WWE’s women over recent years and helped take the division from bra and panties matches to credible matches capable of headlining shows. Helms, who has previously worked for Impact Wrestling as an agent, recently made an appearance during the Elite Deletion match at AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view, which possibly promoted WWE to bring him back out of fear of losing him to their rivals.
In 1989 Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard gave notice to WWE due to being paid less than they had been lead to believe by Vince McMahon. This would actually backfire on both men, as before re-joining WCW, Blanchard failed a drugs test after reportedly licking a bag of an illegal substance to impress a woman. This resulted in Blanchard’s contract offer being pulled by WCW, and Anderson’s financial compensation being heavily reduced. Anderson would later return to WWE as a road agent in 2001 but believes McMahon still felt betrayed by him.
Anderson presumed this because after being brought into the feud between Steve Austin and Ric Flair, McMahon had Austin urinate on him. It obviously wasn’t real urine because it was mustard color. Still, regardless it came across as WWE disrespecting a legendary wrestler. During a recent episode of his The Arn Show podcast, Anderson was asked about this backstage skit and speculated why it was done.
It could be punishment for leaving the way I did in 1989. He waits a long time when he feels betrayed or feels like you’ve wronged him – we were the very first guys to turn our notice in during that era. I know he didn’t like it, and you couple that with some other things, but do I think it’s a possibility? Yep. I know that he waits a very, very long time if he feels like you’ve screwed him. I could possibly see that. It was just so degrading and demeaning if you looked at it on the outside in.Arn Anderson
Arn Anderson no longer has to deal with Vince McMahon and is now a highly regarded member of the AEW family where he is aligned with Cody Rhodes on television.
Duane Gill, who is known best to wrestling fans for his Goldberg parody character Gillberg sadly suffered a heart attack this past Wednesday. Fellow wrestler and close friend James Ellsworth would share the news on Twitter.
Thankfully, Ellsworth confirmed that Gill should be okay as he is in ICU and is expected to be home for the weekend. You can watch the video Ellsworth shared on Twitter for yourself below.

Gill retired from the ring earlier this year, at the age of 58, and wrestled Ellsworth at an Adrenaline Wrestling show in his final match. This concluded a career that had begun in 1990 and saw him share a ring with legendary wrestlers like The Undertaker, Triple H, Mr. Perfect, Razor Ramon, and Owen Hart.
Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are currently feuding with Ethan Page and Josh Alexander in Impact Wrestling, and last week, a match was set where Page needed to beat a “Phenomenal” opponent to get a tag team title shot. The tease was meant to imply AJ Styles, but obviously, he wasn’t going to appear. However, Impact had another plan, and instead, Karl Anderson introduced Hornswoggle as “The WeeNominal One.” Hornswoggle was dressed as Styles, used his entrance mannerisms, and came out to his old TNA theme music. He’d also surprisingly get the victory after Anderson distracted Page, which allowed the former WWE star to get a schoolboy pin.
You can judge for yourself by watching the below video how well Hornswoggle pulled off the impersonation.

It isn’t known how AJ Styles reacted to the parody, but as he has previously described Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows as being like little brothers to him, he probably took it as a lighthearted rib.
Jon Moxley competed as Dean Ambrose for WWE between 2011 to 2019 and became one of their biggest stars. Despite what is believed to have been a big-money offer to renew his contract, he opted to let it expire due to his unhappiness with WWE’s creative and specifically called out Vince McMahon for giving him what he considered to be low quality promo material.
Upon leaving WWE, he no longer could legally use the name Dean Ambrose and reverted to his previous wrestling name of Jon Moxley. Often losing an established name can hinder a wrestler’s career, but this wasn’t the case for Moxley, who has had great success in both AEW and New Japan without his WWE moniker.
Now though, despite opting to let their trademark on “Dean Ambrose” expire on August 28, 2020, WWE has reconsidered. This was revealed once the USPTO trademark reporting and monitoring database updated Tuesday morning. In the update, it showed Vince McMahon’s company filed a brand new trademark application under “entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler” on October 8, 2020.
It isn’t known why WWE has filed this new application, but it’s potentially to ensure Moxley doesn’t register it himself or to ensure they protect The Shield’s legacy. Trademarks have been a fundamental part of the wrestling industry for some time but became even more important since AEW launched. It was only recently that Cody Rhodes got his name back after seemingly agreeing to give up former WCW names he registered in exchange. Also, Ryback is currently in dispute with WWE after they renewed what he considers to be his name three years after he departed the company.
Former NWA World Heavyweight Champion is having an unexpected run as WWE’s leading authority figure, and a big part of that is because of his outstanding mic work. However, during one of many backstage segments he was involved in on Raw last night, he would slip up and accidentally call Drew McIntyre “Drew McInfart,” as you can watch below.

Despite Peace correcting himself, fans quickly ridiculed this on social media, resulting in “Drew McInfart” trending. Pearce would thankfully see the funny side and acknowledged his flub with the below tweet.
Both Pearce and McIntyre will be hoping that “Drew McInfart” is forgotten by the time fans can attend WWE shows again because if not, it is likely Tropicana Field will be full of signs reminding them.
With The Undertaker officially retiring at last night’s Survivor Series, numerous wrestlers past and present have been sharing memories and tributes to the living legend. Among them was our very own Chris Jericho, who congratulated The Undertaker. During the video, he’d reveal he calls him “The Fonz of the WWE” due to his coolness and him being the lockerroom leader. He’d also say that it felt like electricity whenever The Undertaker entered the ring against him. You can watch the full video below.

Remarkably, despite being in the WWE for such long periods at the same time, Jericho and The Undertaker never had a long program with each other. They’d actually only face-off three times against each other in singles competition. However, they did share a ring 35 times between 2000 and 2010, with the majority being tag team matches.
For those of you wanting to know more about these matches, they will be covered in Jericho’s upcoming book The Complete List of Jericho, which documents each of his 2,722 matches. It’s available for preorder now at a discounted rate at Jericho30.com and comes with an exclusive audio podcast.
WWE partnered with Cameo to sell 30 personalized video messages by The Undertaker at $1000 each to commentate his 30th Anniversary with WWE. Despite the high cost, these quickly sold out and are now being shared across social media. Some are touching, some inspirational, but one has attracted much laughter as The Undertaker, in character, congratulates someone going by the name as All Elite Scooby-Doo on getting married. You can watch it for yourself below.
