Following the break, Jim Ross confirmed that Sting had signed a multi-year contract with AEW. However, it isn’t known yet if Sting will take any bumps, as he previously retired while with WWE. He is though going to be a regular character, and will be cutting a promo on next week’s Dynamite. It is understood very few people within AEW knew Sting was even in the building, with it coming as a total surprise to most of the talent finding out before the segment. The people at ShowAEW.com certainly were aware because shortly following his debut, Sting merchandise includes the very cool t-shirt sting was wearing, was available for sale..@STING HAS ARRIVED IN ALL ELITE WRESTLING!

Jimmy Rave recently shared the sad news that his wrestling career had come to an end due to having his left arm amputated. Exact details behind why haven’t been shared other than it was an infection. Several fans have been skeptical of Rave’s claim due to his previous history with drug addiction, and to silence those people, he has shared a photo of his amputation, which you can view here.
Now a GoFundMe has been set up to help him pay his medical bills and a prosthetic arm. gofundme.com/f/Jimmyrave if you are in a position to help. So far, $4,347 has been raised of $20,000 total target, and you can donate at gofundme.com/f/Jimmyrave.
Rave’s career began in 1999 and saw him compete for Ring of Honor and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling during his career-high. During this time, he shares a ring with famous names, including Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, CM Punk, Christian, Booker T, and Scott Steiner. His final match came at CZW’s Cage Of Death XXI – pay-per-view on December 14, 2019, where he was part of a six-man tag match.
WWE has shared the sad news that Pat Patteson, who was born as Pierre Clermont but legally changed his name to his wrestling name, has passed away aged 79. He is best known for being the first-ever Intercontinental Champion after it was claimed he won a tournament in Rio de Janeiro that actually never took place. Modern fans will likely remember him for being one of Vince McMahon’s on-air stooges where he would get involved in the infamous feud between the WWE owner and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
After retiring from the ring following a very successful career, which saw him win multiple titles and headline MSG, he would become a WWE road agent and eventually Vince McMahon’s right-hand man. He is credited for creating the Royal Rumble match and would handle the match’s booking for many years. He would be honored by the company in 1996 by being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Bret Hart.
In 2014, Patterson came out as gay on WWE’s reality show Legends House, however, this was already widely known throughout the wrestling industry. He later released his autobiography titled Accepted: How the First Gay Superstar Changed WWE, which is highly regarded.
Tony Khan recently took part in a conference call to promote AEW’s special Winter Is Coming episode of Dynamite, and when taking questions from reporters, he was asked about the signing of Miro. Some fans and critics have questioned AEW’s use of the former Rusev, thinking he should have been immediately positioned as a main eventer. Khan would explain that AEW is currently rebuilding Miro as WWE hadn’t treated him as a star in years. He’d explicitly note that the wrestler who entered in a tank at WrestleMania wasn’t the performer he had signed.
I thought he got beaten down so bad, I saw some jackass on Twitter was like, “This guy drove a tank at WrestleMania, and now he’s doing this,” and I was like, “yeah, then he got kicked in the nuts, and they treated him like sh*t for years.” He drove a tank out five years ago; that’s not the guy I signed. The guy I signed has been abused for years, and he’s being rebuilt, he’s going to be a huge star in wrestling, and he is a huge star, he’s a huge name in wrestling, but he wasn’t treated like it for a long time.”Tony Khan
Despite initially being portrayed as a top guy, he was moved down the card following his program with Cena. The low point of his time in WWE came when he was booked in an angle with Lashley that saw his wife Lana leave him. Despite being the babyface seeking revenge, he would continuously lose and be made to look impotent. Miro went along with the storyline because he was initially told he would main event WrestleMania 36, which obviously never happened. In fact, Miro didn’t even appear on the show and was released a few weeks after it took place.
On last night’s Raw episode, Jeff Hardy defeated Elias in what was billed as a Symphony of Destruction match. It was an innovative concept that featured the wrestlers using instruments as weapons and a spot where Elias was electrocuted by a speaker. The finish would be Hardy placing Elias on a table outside the ring and then hitting him with a Swanton Bomb off the top of the corner post. Scarily, Hardy struck the ring steps with his head during the impact, as you can see below.

It isn’t known if someone was supposed to move the steps or they weren’t taken into account when the spot was planned, but regardless it seemed inevitable that Hardy would have suffered a concussion. Thankfully though, that wasn’t the case because according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, he was checked after the match and deemed to be OK. Johnson also added that WWE’s medics will continue to monitor Hardy.
WWE and TNA Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley who has been a backstage producer for WWE since 2016, has recently been absent from television tapings. Now speaking on his Table Talk podcast, which featured Bayley as the guest, he revealed that health issues have kept him off work.
D-Von didn’t give any specific information on his health issues, but hopefully, they aren’t too severe, and he can return to doing.
Duane Gill, who retired earlier this year at the age of 58, suffered a heart attack just before Thanksgiving. He is thankfully home now and recovering but cannot work and has both his regular and medical bills to pay. To help with this, his good friend and former tag partner James Ellsworth has now set up a GoFundMe with $1,159 raised so far of the $30,000 target as of writing.
Gill worked most of his career as an enhancement talent, where he’d put over the likes of The Undertaker, The British Bulldog, Mr. Perfect, Razor Ramon, and Owen Hart. He’d receive his big break when he was given the gimmick of “Gillberg,” a Goldberg parody. The biggest match of his career took place on the August 31, 1999, edition of SmackDown when he unsuccessfully wrestled Triple H for the WWE Championship.

Rumors have been swirling ever since WWE announced that Braun Strowman had been suspended indefinitely in kayfabe for attacking Adam Pearce on Raw. Many believed there was more to it because Strowman had internally been scheduled to challenge WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at Tables, Ladders & Chairs.
It has now been verified that Strowman suffered a knee injury at Survivor Series. The severity isn’t known, but it’s obviously bad enough that WWE felt the need to have an angle to explain his absence. With McIntyre vs. Strowman no longer an option, WWE rewrote Raw to have three singles matches, with the winners advancing to a triple threat match to determine the #1 contender. Those three men were AJ Styles, Keith Lee, and Matt Riddle, and one of them will face McIntyre at the TLC pay-per-view for the WWE Championship.
The Simpsons is famous for its guest stars, and if you were a wrestling fan in the 90s, you’d remember fondly when Bret Hart made a brief appearance in the episode called “The Old Man and the Lisa.” It initially aired in 1997, and when Mr. Burns loses his money, Bret buys his mansion and calls him a “pencil-neck geek”.
Speaking on his Confessions of a Hitman series, he discussed this cameo and revealed that he originally wasn’t going to appear as himself on the show. Instead, he was set to play a fictional wrestler as the director of the episode didn’t how famous he was.
“My limo driver had driven off, had gone to get gas, so I got stuck sitting there for about a half-hour ’cause I got done so quick. All these workers that were working at Fox Studios came out of the woodwork. I’m talking over a hundred people came out, and they had programs and pictures and figures. So, I just signed. I had nowhere to go anyway. So, I just signed all their stuff. I remember when I was sitting there after I’d signed for maybe 30-40 minutes, I remember the guy who was the director of my episode came up to me, and he goes, “I had no idea you were this big of a star. If it’s okay with you, we’re gonna draw you in as yourself now, ’cause we had no idea.”Bret Hart
The season 8 episode would get a Nielsen rating of 8.3 and was the joint 3rd highest-rated show on Fox along with King of the Hill, behind The X-Files and Melrose Place. NECA would go on to produce an action figure of Bret Hart based on his appearance as part of their Simpsons 25th Anniversary range.
Marty Jannetty revealed eight years ago that he required surgery on both ankles stemming from his long wrestling career. At the time, he didn’t have either health insurance or the money to pay for the surgery, so he had to soldier on. However, he had now shared on Facebook the good news that he has finally undergone surgery on one of his ankles just before Thanksgiving. He also states his other ankle is scheduled to be operated on next year.
It’s great for there to finally be some good news from Marty Jannetty after he made headlines earlier this year for claiming he was involved in killing someone. He’d later go back on that and declare it was a wrestling storyline once the police got involved.
Jimmy Rave has sadly shared the news he has had to end his career after 21 years due to having his left arm amputated. He would make the announcement on Twitter and revealed it was due to an infection as you can read below.
Rave’s career started in 1999, and he is best known for his multiple runs in Ring of Honor, where he shared a ring with Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, Nigel McGuinness, AJ Styles, and CM Punk. He was also part of The Rock ‘n Rave Infection in TNA along with Lance Hoyt and Christy Hemme. His career was severely hampered by drug addiction, which resulted in him attending rehab. He would, though, rebuild his life and get a job at the Bartow County Peer Support, Wellness, and Respite Center in Georgia.
Chris Jericho first came up with the character “The Painmaker” when he studied tapes of the legendary Bruiser Brody during the 30th anniversary of his tragic death. Brody was notorious for his wild and hardcore brawling style, which on occasion saw him legitimately beat the hell of his opponents. This inspired Jericho to debut this hard-hitting character when he worked with Kenny Omega in New Japan. The name “The Painmaker” then followed once he began working with Okada, who is known as “The Rainmaker.”
While being another hugely successful reinvention of Jericho in Japan, he has also competed as the character on the October 17th, 2019 episode of Dynamite, when he faced Darby Allin in a Philly Street Fight.

Now, Jericho has launched his own clothing range in conjunction with Champion Apparel titled the “Painmaker Apparel Collection.” All the designs, some of which you can view below, are heavily influenced by Japanese culture and lettering, which he became familiar with through his 60 tours of Japan.
The products include both men’s and women’s t-shirts, rolled cuffed tees, sweatshirts, and tracksuits and can be purchased now exclusively through Painmaker.store.
