Just weeks on, from Cody Rhodes, ditching Twitter, another AEW star has done the same. Jade Cargill would delete her account on Tuesday afternoon and confirmed this as an Instagram Story. While a specific reason wasn’t given, a review of her replies shows a lot of bitterness towards her. While some of the negativity is directed towards her in-ring ability, a recent tweet she sent about some fans not supporting black wrestlers also prompted resentment.

Twitter is fast becoming known as the most toxic social media platform, and while it gives fans unprecedented access to celebrities and their personal lives, a very vocal minority is harassing them to the point they no longer want to participate. Over the past few years, in addition to Cargill and Cody, multiple other talents have either quit the platform or taken actions to limit contact, including Seth Rollins, Alexa Bliss, Brandi Rhodes, Scott Hall, Mick Foley, Maruo Ranallo, The Young Bucks, and Naomi. While most do end up returning, not all do, and it will be interesting to see whether Cargill givesTwitter another chance or decides to focus on her much more positive Instagram account going forward.

This past Saturday, Jeff Hardy would exit through the crowd during a WWE house show match, leaving his partners Drew McIntyre and Xavier Woods clearly confused. The news would later break that WWE had sent him home, and obviously, with Jeff having a past troubled by substance abuse issues, fans were concerned for the much-loved WWE star.

Now his brother Matt who had to leave Jeff behind when he signed with AEW in 2020, has provided an update during his Twitch stream. In this, he would acknowledge that it isn’t his place to tell the story behind what happened, but he would let fans know Jeff is doing okay.

I did speak to Jeff for a little bit today. He’s okay; he’s good. I think he’ll be fine. Once again, this isn’t my business. If he wants to go into it with more detail, he’ll do it himself. Jeff is okay. He is at home and okay. It’s not my business or story to tell or explain. Besides that, it’s not my story to tell because it’s not my perspective. I love my brother, and I want him to be okay and healthy.

Matt Hardy

While he has always been incredibly popular with fans, WWE was always reluctant to push Jeff Hardy at the very top of the card due to his reputation of being unreliable and the fear of incidents like this occurring. To say what he did was unprofessional is an understatement. However, it is hard to pass judgment until the full details come out. While it wouldn’t be surpassing if Hardy ends up released by WWE, the thought of him subsequently teaming again with Matt in AEW may not be something WWE wants to chance.

Killian Dain was let go by WWE on June 25, 2021, having been with the promotion for five years. At the time, he was part of the NXT roster, and the decision was somewhat of a shock due to him having the size liked by WWE. Due to having had his contract renegotiated when he was part of SmackDown with Sanity, he had a 90-day non-compete clause, unlike most NXT talents. However, once he was free of WWE, he couldn’t wrestle due to being from Northern Ireland and needing a work visa. This issue appears to have been resolved, though, as he has announced he is taking US bookings and showed off a brand new look in the process.

While Dain hasn’t been able to wrestle in the US recently, he hasn’t been wasting any time returning to the ring and was recently in the United Kingdom wrestling on shows under his former name Big Damo. During that time, he’d perform for two of the country’s biggest promotions RevPro and Insane Championship Wrestling, where he wrestled before signing with WWE. So now fans will eagerly await finding out where he turns up Stateside next.

Kairi Sane was written off WWE television in 2020 so she could return to Japan to be with her husband. Initially, it seemed she remained on good terms with the company because she became a WWE ambassador and appeared as part of their Japanese-language commentary team. However, it’s believed the relationship soured when they declined her permission to wrestle for Stardom.

Since then, things have been quiet regarding her future, although recently, she posted a cryptic tweet with an hourglass with sand flowing through it. Now it appears her time with WWE has officially ended as she has removed WWE from her Instagram handle and also describes herself as a former WWE Superstar in her bio.

Sane had been with WWE since 2017, where she received a massive push by winning the Mae Young Classic that same year by defeating Tessa Blanchard, Bianca Belair, Dakota Kai, Toni Storm, and Shayna Baszler. She’d go on to have a 71-day reign as NXT Women’s Champion in 2018, and on the main roster, she was one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Asuka for 180 days.

What the future holds for Sane remains to be seen. Although if she is indeed a free agent, it would seem just a matter of time before she returns to Stardom, where she made her name between 2011 and 2017. This could also potentially open the door for her to work for AEW in the future as Stardom is the sister company of New Japan that frequently works with Tony Khan’s promotion.

On Saturday night Jeff Hardy was teaming with Xavier Woods and Drew McIntyre against Roman Reigns and The Usos on a Texas house show. The match was said to be going fine, although Hardy looked somewhat sluggish. However, after Hardy made a hot tag to McIntyre, he’d decide to leave the match by exiting through the crowd, followed by a security guard. A fan-filmed video of this incident can be viewed below and shows McIntyre and Woods looking confused by Hardy’s absence following the match.

PWInsider have now reported that Hardy was sent home following the match, and on Sunday night, Rey Mysterio took his place in the match. At present, there is no information on what caused Hardy to act the way he did, although there is already speculation he may have suffered a relapse of his past drug and alcohol issues. Hopefully, though, that isn’t the case, as Hardy had recently gotten his life together and was receiving a fresh push, having been drafted from Raw to SmackDown.

Bray Wyatt, or simply Windham, as he is now known, is the latest pro wrestler to see his Twitter account hacked. In cases like this, the hacker who usually guesses a password or gains access through a phishing scheme will use the opportunity to post offensive or senseless content. However, in this instance, the perpetrator is attempting to get fans to send them money via Cash App in exchange for a brand new PS5. While most people would likely realize this wasn’t legitimate, in an attempt to ensure as few people as possible fall for the scam, Windham’s girlfriend JoJo Offerman has tweeted out a warning to fans.

As of writing, Windham still hasn’t recovered his account, and the person who has access continues to post the scam message. Surely, though, it won’t be long until the account is back in his hands, and more importantly, it’s revealed nobody was robbed. Also, hopefully, it acts as a warning to his fans to use Two Factor Authentication, or 2FA, on their social media accounts to ensure things like this don’t happen to them.

Actor Freddie Prinze Jr. who is best known for his roles in She’s All That, Scooby-Doo, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, previously worked for WWE in the role of producer and director. He was even being considered for the lead writer’s position at one time. Still, he departed the company to focus on being a father. He still follows the product, though, and is looking at starting his own independent company.

Now in an interview with The Ariel Helwani Show, he has spoken about his time in WWE and revealed that he fell out with Triple H while working there over putting the title on Jeff Hardy. Hardy would win the WWE Championship from Edge in a triple threat match also featuring Triple H at Armageddon 2008, and Triple H felt Hardy wasn’t reliable enough.

The Jeff Hardy storyline was the end of any relationship I had with Hunter, I’m open about that, but it wasn’t a secret. He was very against it, he didn’t think we could count on Jeff. Hunter is a company man, and I felt, creatively, it was worth the risk. He didn’t, and in hindsight, he was right. Jeff was released from the company, I think a year later, because he got in more trouble. I never blamed him for it. But at the time, I’m sure he doesn’t care now. At the time when I worked there, he wasn’t having me.

Freddie Prinze Jr.

This isn’t the first time Triple H has been against someone new being put over, however as Prinze Jr. acknowledges, in this instance, he was right, and Hardy wasn’t the right person to be champion. It was through a great moment for fans to see Hardy capture his first world championship, even if it was only a brief run. Hardy would later go on to win the World Heavyweight Champion on two occasions. Still, neither reign was long, with the first actually being just over a minute due to CM Punk cashing in his Money in the Bank contract. It seems unlikely though Hardy will get another run, even though he is probably in the best place in his life to handle the responsibility.

Charlotte Flair and Andrade went public with their relationship in 2019, and they kicked 2020 off on a high note by announcing on their social media accounts that they were engaged. At that time, both of their careers were on a high, with Andrade having just defeated Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship and Charlotte being less than a month away from winning the women’s Royal Rumble match. Since then, Andrade departed WWE and is now signed with AEW, while Charlotte remains a vital part of WWE television.

Rumors would start last month that the pair relationship may have ended when eagle-eyed fans spotted Andrade had unfollowed Charlotte on social media. However, at the time that it was simply speculation. Now though, it has been reported that the couple has recently-separated. While full details as to precisely why aren’t known, it is said that Charlotte was the one to end their engagement.

After speaking with multiple sources I can confirm that the two are no longer together. Sources indicated that the break-up did not appear to be mutual and that it was Charlotte who ended the relationship.Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam

Charlotte’s legendary father, Ric Flair, would accompany Andrade at TripleMania earlier this year in a failed attempt to win AAA’s Mega Championship from Kenny Omega. The belief was the pair would soon to working together in AEW. Regrettably, though, for Ric Flair, past allegations against him would resurface, which ended those plans. In hindsight, it probably is for the best with Charlotte and Andrade no longer being romantically involved as it caused have led to an awkward situation.

This past year WWE has been releasing dozens of wrestlers due to budgetary cuts and focusing on youth in NXT. Some of these talents have gone on to work for AEW, and now during the latest set of AEW Dark tapings, MMA fighter turned pro wrestler Marina Shafir has debuted for the promotion. The result of her match with Kris Statlander wasn’t revealed; however, it would be unusual for someone that is unsigned to beat a contracted talent.

Shafir, who is married to current NXT wrestler Roderick Strong was released from her WWE contract back in June and has since been competing on the independent circuit. Her run in WWE wasn’t particularly memorable as she didn’t feature much on television other than when aligned with Shayna Baszler and was mainly considered a prospect due to having an athletic background. Aged 33, she currently has less than 100 professional matches on her resume, so this match was likely a tryout, and how it went will likely dictate whether she becomes an AEW regular.

Legendary tag team wrestler D-Von Dudley currently works for WWE as a producer, having retired from the ring in 2016. However, he is set to miss some time from his current role due to requiring back surgery stemming from his long wrestling career. He’d reveal this during the Table Talk podcast that he co-hosts and would be sure to put over his employer for the health insurance they provided him.

I saw three different surgeons. The third one, WWE, was comfortable with it. I go on December 8 for a minor procedure. I go for the consultation on December 8, and he’ll give me the date on when it’ll happen. They’ll go in with a thin needle, get the disc, fuse it, move it back to where it needs to be, put the bolt and screw in and I’m good to go. They said about two to three weeks tops.

I’ve been dealing with this since about 2010. A lot of us deal with this pain with our backs, and sometimes it gets to the point where you can’t take it anymore, and you have to do something about it. There are other guys where their backs are messed up, and they don’t have the insurance or money to take care of it. WWE provides great health insurance, so I’m able to go see a doctor, a couple of doctors and have the insurance because I can only imagine what that surgery would cost.

D-Von Dudley

Hopefully, this will be 49-year-old D-Von’s final surgery for the foreseeable future as it was just two years he ago he had to be operated on after suffering a stroke. Thankfully, though,  it appears he didn’t suffer any ongoing severe effects, and with his upcoming surgery, he will be able to resume a good quality of life.  Mobility is an issue for most wrestlers in later life, and with two daughters under the age of four to send time, it is great he can get his back fixed.

Over the past few months, there have been multiple changes to NXT, and the latest one is going to be behind the announce desk, with Beth Phoneix set to depart. This was revealed on Thursday morning by the 41-year-old herself on social media, with the reason being that was she wants to spend more time with her family, which includes two young daughters. Whether WWE intends to replace her or go to a two-person announce team isn’t known yet, but it should become evident next Tuesday with her final show to be this Sunday’s NXT WarGames event.

Phoenix was a top WWE in-ring performer between 2006 and 2012 after initially joining the developmental promotion territory OVW in 2004. During that time show would win the WWE Women’s Championship three times as well as the Divas Championship once, subsequently being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017. She would then come out of retirement in 2019 and frequently teamed with Natalya before joining NXT as a commentator later that year.

Unfortunately for Phoenix, her time in NXT didn’t start well with fans being very critical of her performances, and she has publicly discussed how the adverse reaction reduced her to tears on occasion. However, she didn’t quit and with more experience, became a popular member of the announce team who will now be missed by many. But, as she stated, she is still part of the WWE, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see her make occasional appearances, especially with WWE previously acknowledging her marriage to Edge.

Back in December 2019, it was announced that Big Swole had signed with AEW. She’d go on to work a program with Dr. Britt Baker and participated in a Tooth and Nail, which was filmed at Baker’s dental office, and aired during All Out 2020. Unfortunately, many regard it as the worst cinematic match in pro wrestling history, and since then, she has mainly competed on AEW Dark, with her last match taking place in September. Now seemingly with her AEW contract set to expire, she has announced on Twitter that it isn’t being renewed, with the decision being portrayed as mutual.

Swole, who is the other half of Cedric Alexander and a sufferer of Crohn’s disease, only began wrestling six years ago, and it was thought she had star potential. However, with her rarely featuring on AEW’s main shows and so many talents added to their roster, her departure doesn’t come as a surprise. What the future holds for her right now isn’t clear and potentially could depend on her health. Hopefully, though, whatever endeavors she decides to pursue, she is both happy and prosperous with them.
