After separating from his wife Linda in 2007, Hulk Hogan began dating makeup artist Jennifer McDaniel in 2008, and the pair would become engaged in November 2009. A wedding followed in 2010, and despite a 21-year age gap, it seemed they had met their life partners. However, following photos being shared online showing Hogan with another woman, the WWE Hall of Famer has taken to Twitter to reveal he and McDaniel divorced in 2021. Apparently, not mentioning it on social media previously because he believed everyone already knew.

This is the second high-profile wrestling icon to announce the end of their marriage in recent months, as Ric Flair recently shared the news he had separated from his wife, Wendy Barlow. Yet, where it’s believed Flair remains single, and if recent videos shared on social media are to be taken at face value is living a bachelor lifestyle, Hogan has seemingly moved on and is in a new relationship.

On 24 February 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated an invasion of Ukraine, and since then, people around the world have been appalled by the conflict. As a result, the vast majority of people, including Russian citizens, have implored Putin to cease his actions before things get worse, fearing escalation could lead to a third world war.

Now, Glenn Jacobs, the Republican Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, and best known to wrestling fans as Kane, has taken to Twitter to share his take on the situation. And while there has been some support for his comments that include the opinion that the US should not get involved, there has also been a large amount of backlash towards him. Especially seemingly showing some admiration for the Russian leader.

It has been suggested by multiple individuals that Twitter itself is very left-leaning, and as such, a republican mayor will almost always receive criticism. But, of course, at the end of the day, Jacobs is entitled to share his opinion on the platform, and based on Social Blade, he gains on average 50 new followers per day. Although how many of these are because of his political views and how many for his past WWE career isn’t something that can be determined.

Social media is enormous nowadays, and it’s very rare to find any celebrity without some sort of presence on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook. In fact, some wrestlers like Matt Cardona and Danhausen have used the platforms to take their careers to another level. However, with some considering a necessary evil, they employ others to run their accounts, and now Bryan Danielson has revealed he is amongst them during a recent podcast interview.

I have a Twitter, and here’s a dirty secret which is that I don’t run my social media. While there are times when I will post something on social media, but it is very few and far between, and most of the time, it’s my manager who does it, and I don’t know if he wants me to say that, but like he’ll post something. It’s just like, one of those things, I don’t want to do it.Bryan Danielson

It’s doubtful this news will have much impact on Danielson’s following, although it is interesting to know that his tweets, for the most part, have been carefully crafted and are basically PR statements. How many other wrestlers have a similar approach to social media, although Scott Steiner previously outed Sting for having someone else run his account. Which, in hindsight, considering Sting’s generation, isn’t that unexpected.

Last week, the wrestling world was shocked to find that Cesaro had opted to let his contract expire and leave WWE after more than a decade with the company. While there haven’t yet been any firm reports on where he will end up post-WWE, it’s expected every major promotion will have interest in him. Now speaking on his YouTube channel, WWE legend Mick Foley has spoken on this, saying he believes WWE’s loss is pro wrestling’s gain. Adding that “this is not the end for Cesaro, in some ways it is just the beginning.

After such a long time with WWE, it’s assumed that Cesaro is comfortable financially, so his next career move won’t necessarily be based on money. Additionally, aged just 41, he still has several years in him to deliver high-quality matches, and it’s entirely possible he will now look to compete where e will have the freedom to express himself instead of having to keep his matches short for television.

On Friday night Joey Janela teamed with Sean Waltman against Brian Myers and Matt Cardona at a GCW show, and following the match, Janela would turn on his partner. This would result in trash being thrown at the AEW wrester, which Janela seemed to be taking as part of the show. Yet once a fan threw beer in his face, his demeanor would instantly change, and he went after the fan in the crowd.

Not much more is known about the incident. However, given that CGW fans have thrown pizza cutters at Cardona in the past, it’s doubtful this will be considered serious. But, of course, how Tony Khan reacts to this could be the more significant issue as Janela’s AEW contract is up on April 30th, and as of last reports, he hadn’t spoken to them about an extension.

Given Janela hasn’t wrestled for AEW in six weeks, and his last two matches were defeats on Dark, it isn’t a particularly good sign. Although, when interviewed two weeks ago and asked about a renewal, Janela seemed confident, saying, “I think it will. If it doesn’t, I look like a f*cking idiot right now.

Recently Jeff Hardy revealed he was headed to AEW while being interviewed by a fan named Jared Myers, that uploaded the conversation to YouTube. Jeff would go on to later tweet out that “nothing is official,” seemingly because the interview had spread across social media and not only ruined a potential surprise but could also be regarded as contract tampering.

Now to follow up, Jeff and his brother Matt would directly address this interview in their own video, and Jeff would say, “Fuck that guy to the sun” when referring to Myers.

It’s understandable as to why Jeff would be unhappy with his comments going viral, given potential repercussions. However, when speaking to anyone in front of a camera, it is best not to say anything you’re uncomfortable sharing with a larger audience. Given how much of a fan Myers came across in the video, Jeff’s comments likely hurt him greatly, but he has clearly caused issues for Hardy. Hopefully, though, this can now blow over, and fans can just look forward to Jeff officially becoming All Elite when he is legally permitted.

In January, TMZ reported that Tammy Sytch, best known to wrestling fans Sunny, had been arrested for possessing a weapon and making a terroristic threat. Now, with the issue still outstanding, Wrestling News has revealed she has been arrested again and faces a long list of charges. The arrest occurred on Thursday, and charges include driving a vehicle under the influence of liquor or drugs, driving with a suspended/revoked license, failure to wear a seat belt, and driving without insurance. Her court date is scheduled for March 10th.

In recent years, Sunny’s life has been full of legal issues, and she was incarcerated for the majority of 2019. Following her release, she would be arrested again on July 13th, 2020, while still on parole for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, eluding a police officer, and violating a restraining order. This resulted in her being detained again until June 9th, 2021.

On Friday, it was announced that Vince McMahon would be appearing as a guest on The Pat McAfee Show next week. This is big news in itself, as McMahon rarely gives interviews. However, according to a report by PostWrestling.com, it is being done to set in motion a feud between McMahon and McAfee and will “most likely” lead to a match between them at WrestleMania 38.

The idea of 76-year-old Vince McMahon wrestling again seems preposterous, and some fans have speculated Austin Theory could substitute for McMahon at the last minute. Still, considering there are still plenty of tickets remaining for both nights of WrestleMania 38 remaining, and with his son, Shane, no longer set to appear on the show, Vince possibly believes the event needs some McMahon star power.

Vince wrestled his first-ever match in 1998 when he was aged 53, and last officially wrestled back in 2010, where he lost to Bret Hart in a No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania 26. He has though been physical since then when he brawled with CM Punk at the conclusion of an episode of Raw in 2012 and was headbutted by Kevin Owens in 2017.

In what is being referred to as “doing a Rick Rude” on social media, independent wrestler Kayla Sparks would appear for both WWE and AEW on Friday night. For those unaware, on November 17, 1997, Rude would appear during the live episode of WCW Nitro while also appearing on a taped episode of Raw. While it’s doubtful Sparks’ appearances will go down in history as Rude’s did, it was still a notable event.

First, 33-year-old Sparks would appear as an extra on SmackDown being kissed by Angel Garza and Humberto Carillo ahead of their match with New Day, which would air live. Then later in the evening, she would wrestle on the pre-taped episode of Rampage, taking on Serena Deeb in a five-minute rookie challenge, losing by submission in under three minutes.

This isn’t the first time such an occurrence has taken place with WWE, and AEW has used the same talent. As last year Kelsey Heather would appear live alongside Boby Lashley on Raw and then appear on AEW’s pre-taped YouTube show Dark: Elevation wrestling Leyla Hirsch. Seemingly though, AEW had no issue with this as they have continued to book Heather, and earlier this month, she would wrestle Julia Hart on Dark.

Matt Cardona is set to team with Brian Myers to take on Joey Janela and Sean Waltman at GCW’s upcoming Welcome To Heartbreak in what will be Waltman’s first match since 2019. That alone should be a big selling point. However, Cardona has taken things one thing further in attempting to promote the match, as he has set ablaze the 123 Kid Hasbro figure that Waltman previously signed for him. For those unaware, this is one of the rarest wrestling figures from the 90s and is currently listed unsigned on eBay for $1900.

Figures from the green card series of WWF Hasbro figures are rare to find in the package because in 1994, the toy manufacturer was ending its relationship with the wrestling promotion. Due to this, the production numbers were low, and many fans would never see them in stores. So to many fans, what Cardona has done is horrific, but it certainly shows he is prepared to go the extra mile to sell an angle. Whether Cardona decides to sell the burnt figure remains to be seen, but knowing his fanbase and how successfully he has been over the years selling on rare action figures, it wouldn’t be surprising if he somehow still made a profit.

In 1989 Tony Chimel began working for Vince McMahon, initially as part of the ring crew before becoming Howard Finkel’s backup ring announcer. A decade later, he’d get his big break and become known to wrestling fans worldwide when he became the announcer for SmackDown. However, his presence on television would decline over time, and in later years, he mainly worked in the production office and oversaw the ring crew. Sadly though, once WWE began cost-cutting, he was deemed surplus to requirements and let go in November 2020.

Now, in an interview with Chris Van Vliet, he has discussed how his layoff came following a canceled show but happily confirmed he has managed to find another job, working for grocery store Trader Joe’s. He would go on to liken them to WWE, saying both want to put smiles on faces.

I took off, and I flew from Florida to Charlotte. When I got to Charlotte, I was told that the show was canceled. So I turned around and went home. I never worked another show after that,

Tony Chimel

I found a job at Trader Joe’s, which I never really knew about. I had heard of Trader Joe’s, but I didn’t really know what it was.

Tony Chimel

There’s a lot of similarities because, at WWE, they always wanted to put smiles on people’s faces, and at Trader Joe’s, all they want to do is wow the customer and make the customer feel happy.

Tony Chimel

It’s great to hear that Chimel is gainfully employed, as getting a job at 60 years of age is often a challenge. It is even more impressive when you consider his unique WWE resume isn’t likely to help in non-entertainment industries. Sadly though, it does look like he is done with the business. Still, perhaps over time, he will look to work the convention circuit and other signings opportunities. As to a generation, his voice will forever be linked to SmackDown, and many fans would love to meet him.

News broke around a month ago that WWE commentator Corey Graves had been cleared to wrestle, having been forced to retire from the squared circle in 2014 due to concussion issues. Many fans hoped he would make a surprise appearance during the Royal Rumble match, but that never transpired, and since fans have been wondering when his future was. Now, during an interview with TMZ, he has spoken about this saying a comeback isn’t an immediate goal, but never say never when it comes to wrestling again.

It’s not an immediate goal of mine; it was just something I needed to know for my own sanity. My journey in the ring got cut short, and it’s kinda eaten at me for years, always wondering what if, what if there’s a chance, what if there’s an opportunity. I went and did the necessary steps, and it turns out I’m more okay than I thought I was but never say never.

Corey Graves

Graves winning the WWE 24/7 Championship on the November 8th edition of Raw before quickly losing it to fellow commentator Byron Saxton should have been an indication that Graves had been cleared. As WWE almost certainly wouldn’t have let him get involved if there were any concerns about his health. While it appears that short involvement wasn’t officially the start of a comeback, based on what Graves has said, it certainly sounds like someday, he will compete again.

Before Graves moved behind the announce desk, he had wrestled for 14 years, sharing a ring with the likes of CM Punk, AJ Styles, and Cesaro. Eventually, he would impress WWE and be offered a developmental contract in 2011 to wrestle for Florida Championship Wrestling and then NXT. During this time, his career highlight would come when he and Adrian Neville (PAC) won the NXT Tag Team Championship in 2013 by defeating Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.
