Independent wrestler Krule has issued a candid statement on X.com addressing his March 2026 confrontation with a fan at Berwyn Eagles Hall during a Ruthless Pro event. After enduring multiple incidents with a fan that night, he admitted to throwing a punch in the heat of the moment, and clarified that his injury resulted from a fall rather than a stabbing, as previously rumored. Fully cooperating with authorities, the remorseful star has accepted full responsibility and issued heartfelt apologies to the affected wrestlers, fans, and promotions, as the historic hall will no longer host shows following the incident.
The towering 6’10”, 317-pound powerhouse from Lyons, Georgia, has carved out a formidable independent wrestling career since his 2012 debut. Trained by Shawn Hunter, Krule, real name Matthew Waters, first rose to prominence on the Georgia circuit as Logan Creed, capturing multiple championships, including the SFCW Heavyweight Title. His national breakthrough came in MLW in 2019, beginning as the Dynasty’s enforcer, Grogan, before evolving into the menacing Mads Krügger, later Krule Krügger, who claimed the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. However, the dominant brawler with a larger-than-life persona now needs to rebuild his career, having lost many bookings since the altercation.
