Dustin Rhodes has voiced his frustration after being omitted from a fan-made ranking of the greatest Intercontinental Champions in WWE history that was circulating on X.com. The veteran star, who held the prestigious title on multiple occasions, reacted sharply to the widely shared post that highlighted names such as Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, Chris Jericho, and Gunther while ignoring him, stating, “no respect for me as usual.”
Competing as Goldust, Rhodes captured the WWF Intercontinental Championship three times between 1996 and 1999 for a combined 158 days as recognized by WWE. His most memorable run came in 1996, when he defeated Razor Ramon at the Royal Rumble to win a 63-day reign, then won the vacant title in a match with Savio Vega in April for an impressive 82-day stretch with multiple defenses. A brief 13-day third reign followed in March 1999 after beating Road Dogg, helping establish the eccentric Goldust character as a legitimate singles competitor at a time when his influence on the product was declining.
