Kiana James was called up to Raw four months ago without even being made aware beforehand, with WWE opting to make it a surprise. However, since then, she has only wrestled a couple of matches, with the last one being a Money In The Bank qualifier in June. And now, it has been reported by PWInsider.com that she has been removed from WWE’s internal roster. Still it appears she remains employed as she is instead on the “misc” list, which could mean she is injured long-term.
27-year-old Kiana James, real name Kayla Klingensmith, made her pro wrestling debut in 2021 on AEW Dark, and despite wrestling a few more matches for Tony Khan’s promotion, she signed with WWE in early 2022. Subsequently, she was fast-tracked onto NXT television, going on to win the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships with Fallon Henley just over a year later, demonstrating that management saw her as a potential star despite being inexperienced.
