At last month’s NJPW Strong Resurgence in Long Beach, California, Merdedes Mone suffered an ankle injury causing the finish to her match with Willow Nightingale to be altered. And since then, things have been quiet regarding the former WWE stats injury status. Now though, Mone has taken to Instagram to reveal she is six days on from apparent surgery, seemingly confirming she did break her ankle.
Many anticipated that Mone would be part of AEW and New Japan’s Forbidden Door show on June 26h, with it even speculated she would face Saraya. This injury, however, has all but scuppered any of those plans.
