TNA Impact Premiere On AMC Sees Viewership Growth

A new era of TNA kicked off last Thursday, when Impact debuted on AMC, which many hoped would not result in a significant ratings increase. And now the official ratings have been reported by F4Wonline.com, revealing the show averaged 173,000 viewers, marking a substantial increase from its prior viewership on AXS TV, where 100,000 was considered normal. However, despite this gain, total viewers fell below AMC’s broader 2025 prime-time average, which, according to Nielsen data, is approximately 286,000 viewers.

“The January 15 edition of Impact averaged 173,000 viewers on AMC, which should be a significant increase over what the show had been doing on AXS TV. The most recent available ratings information from a few years back had Impact hovering around 100,000 viewers.”F4Wonline.com

TNA Impact achieved its highest ratings on Spike TV, averaging 2.2 million viewers for Hulk Hogan’s 2010 debut, although the show typically had between 1.0 and 1.6 million viewers. However, post-Spike, viewership dropped sharply to about 300,000 on Destination America and Pop TV, with AXS TV reaching 200,000 at its peak but more usually 80,000–100,000 due to limited reach.
