While many fans expected Swerve Strickland to regain the AEW Championship at Dynasty on Sunday night, this wouldn’t occur after the Young Bucks returned and took him out with an EVP Trigger. This booking decision was far from popular with fans in attendance, and seemingly being aware of this ahead of time, Strickland was ready to address fans on the topic of representation after the show went off the air, and to close, added, “just for my amusement f*ck Booker T.”
For those unaware, Stickland and Booker T started beefing after the AEW star appeared on Vlad TV and stated that Vince McMahon treated the two-time WWE Hall of Famer poorly, specifically mentioning the time McMahon used the N-word in front of him. This would result in Booker T confronting Strickland when they were both at a recent event in Virginia, and Booker T subsequently noted on his podcast that he always handled racial issues first-hand and broke down barriers for people like Strickland. And while most assumed this issue was now in the past, Strickland clearly isn’t ready to move on just yet.
