In disappointing news, Anthony Henry, who is signed by AEW and regularly appears for their sister-promotion ROH, has announced on X that he is sidelined for the foreseeable future, having torn his left bicep off the bone. This injury occurred during his match with New Japan’s Gabe Kidd over the weekend, seemingly ruling him out for the remainder of the year due to requiring surgery.
40-year-old Henry hasn’t had the best of luck since joining AEW, as back in March, he suffered a broken jaw during a match with Bryan Keith on an indie show. At the time, it appeared this had cost him his AEW career, as he was released by the promotion just weeks later. However, Tony Khan would have a change of heart and promised to rehire the former NXT wrestler once he had recovered from the injury.
