If you’ve spent any time on Wrestling Twitter, you’ve likely seen the photograph of Cody Rhodes arriving at the Royal Rumble accompanied by Ricky Starks. And while most fans are aware of the pair’s friendship, having worked closely in AEW, some have jumped to the conclusion that Starks is WWE-bound at the first opportunity. Yet, Starks has seemingly laughed off these claims off by saying GTV is back.
For those unaware, GTV (originally GDTV) was a storyline that debuted in WWE in 1999 and went nowhere. Grainy footage would capture superstars in embarrassing situations, like Big Show using the urinal, Val Venis stuffing his tights with a sock, and Al Snow picking his nose. However, while at one point intriguing, it soon trailed off before disappearing altogether. The initial person behind the gimmick was meant to be Goldust and then Tom Green of MTV fame; nevertheless, nobody was ever officially confirmed.
