Fans began to get excited about an AEW video game as soon as the company was announced, and it’s understood that age rating has been the big holdup over the past several months. Now though, with the game receiving its coveted Teen rating, it looks ready for release, and it has been noted that Best Buy has the game listed for release on Friday, March 31st, 2023. Of course, this could be a placeholder, but with Kenny Omega previously saying the game was aiming for a Q1 release, this would match his target.
While AEW FIght Forever has seemingly taken a long time to release, the game has been created from scratch, with Japanese game studio Yuke’s, who previously worked on WWE’s SmackDown titles on PlayStation, developing it. And while there are still many outstanding questions about the game, pre-orders are available at all major video game retailers.
