ROH would dispute this telling PWInsider:
“We don’t generally discuss personal issues but they seem to have made it public, we didn’t fire Kelly Klein, we just notified her that we would not be renewing her contract.”Klein recently allowed a disgruntled Joey Mercury to reveal private emails between ROH and herself, plus her requested salary of just $24,000. These emails and salary reveal caused ROH much embarrassment and are likely the reason she won’t be with the promotion after 31st December. The promotion has one more PPV, and one TV taping before her contract expires so it will be interesting to see how her departure is handled given the animosity.
The saga of ACH and WWE is finally over. He had quit the promotion last week in an angry Twitter video and changed his name back to ACH from Jordan Myles which he had called his WWE “slave name.”
There had been no announcement from either ACH or WWE, but until earlier today ACH posted on Twitter the below photo. You can see he is signing papers and the WWE’s logo can just be made out in the top corner.

We can confirm that they were his release papers and he is no longer with WWE. We don’t know if the release was unconditional, but he has already started taking indie bookings, and the first is with Heavy Metal Wrestling in Texas tomorrow.
It took Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch but NXT has made it 7-1, winning the rating wars for the first time against Dynamite.
AEW Dynamite decreased from 957,000 average viewers to 893,000 average viewers, and NXT increased from 750,000 viewers to 917,000.
AEW featured Rey Fenix defeating Nick Jackson, a Chris Jericho and Scorpio Sky interview, and Jon Moxley beating Darby Allin in the main event.
NXT was the Takeover: WarGames go-home show and had Becky Lynch vs. Rhea Ripley in a no-contest, Matt Riddle beating Ricochet, and NXT Champion Adam Cole defeating Dominik Dijakovic for the Wargames advantage in a ladder match with Seth Rollins appearing.
It should be noted that AEW won the key demos in all areas except for the over 50’s and that is what proved decisive.
Mike Kanellis, ACH, and Sin Cara have all made their desire to leave WWE public recently. Triple H was asked about this trend on his NXT TakeOver: WarGames III media call.
He would say:
“There’s a lot of times where some of it is legit. Some of it, in a moment of time — when you get to the bottom of it, I don’t understand people air…if you have an issue, talk to us. If you think ‘I’m gonna go put that on the media,’ that’s not the way to do your business.
If I had a complaint about the talent, I don’t go on Twitter and complain to them. I speak to them. I’ve never understood that process; if it’s legit. There are a lot of people out there just getting clicks. ‘Let’s throw a headline on something, hey, watch this, I’m gonna break the Internet.’ I watch guys do it all the time. Sometimes, I wish they wouldn’t. Sometimes, they just think it’s funny. There’s a moment in time where they hit something and it gets them a ton of buzz and they go, ‘I’m just messing with people.’
There’s also a moment in time where things happen, people get frustrated, they say some stuff. It’s like any long-term relationship. You say some stuff like ‘I don’t want to see you anymore’ and you come back a few minutes later, ‘I was just mad at the moment. Of course, I want to stay in this relationship.’ There’s a silliness to it. To me, there’s a maturity issue of; that’s not how you handle business. Anybody who’s out there, that is serious about it, that’s talking about it on the Internet, that ain’t the place to do it. We all have cellphones. You meet, you handle your business like a professional. Everybody wants to say ‘professional wrestler,’ the keyword in front of that is ‘professional.’ That’s what we’re trying to change about the business is to make people more professional.”
It should be noted that Oney Lorcan didn’t make his request to leave WWE public (it came out after the fact) and he was also denied.
It has been known for a while that Alicia Fox had an issue with alcohol. She was repeatedly reprimanded by WWE for showing up late to events and actually wrestled intoxicated back in February. That incident resulted in the agent of her match Arn Anderson being fired from WWE for allowing her to work in that condition. She was also sent home from Summerslam after getting into a drunken altercation with a fan.
She has now confirmed on Instagram she has an alcohol problem but is currently sober.
Her exact status with WWE isn’t known at present. Her profile was moved to the Alumni section of WWE.com causing some speculation she was no longer with the company. Hopefully, though she can complete her recovery and resume her career with WWE or elsewhere.
Following on from the conservatory caused by a racist remark he made on commentary during last night’s NWA Powerrr, Jim Cornette has resigned from the company.
The NWA would issue the below statement on their website earlier today.

Cornette though does not appear to be apologetic or remorseful judging by the below tweet he made shortly after the announcement.

The news of Cornette’s comment has already begun to spread to the mainstream press with TMZ and some national UK newspapers picking up the story.
During last night’s NWA Powerrr YouTube episode, Jim Cornette would make the below comment about Trevor Murdoch.
“He is the only man I’ve ever known that could strap a bucket of fried chicken on his back and ride a motor scooter across Ethiopia.”
Pretty sure I just watched my final episode of @nwa powerrr. pic.twitter.com/kAoa3f5Ur1

Once the comment was picked up on Twitter it began to gain momentum and the video was set to private on YouTube. NWA Vice President David Lagana would go on to post the below on his Twitter account.

The NWA has already had to issue a statement on their website regarding Jim Cornette’s comments on social media about suicide. Also, his latest podcast contained comments where he likened AEW announcer Justin Roberts’ appearance to a child-molester. You would think the countdown to Cornette being fired has already started.
NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis would later go on Twitter to condemn the comment himself, obviously disappointed how Cornette’s comment has tarnished the companies reputation.

Cornette has used this line dating back to the 1980s, but times have changed and language like this can’t be tolerated by a promotion trying to get a television deal. Although it is hard to have any sympathy for the NWA considering the show was pre-taped and they knew what they were getting when they hired Cornette.
Randy Orton just signed a very lucrative new contract, and part of the reason why was because he was flirting with AEW during negotiations.
He is now all WWE in the war against AEW and decided to unnecessarily chime in during an exchange between CM Punk and Tony Khan. You can read the whole interaction below.

For those wondering about Orton sating the N-word, it was thought footage had been lost because he quickly had the stream deleted following saying it, but the internet remembers everything.
Orton would later reply calling Tony Khan “Jacksonville Dixie,” in reference to Dixie Carter, but by then the damage had been done and the L was firmly Orton’s.
AEW has announced on Twitter that their Dynamite show scheduled for January 15th in Miami, Florida is now titled “Bash at the Beach.”

The name was previously used for WCW’s annual July PPV event between 1994 and 2000. WWE took ownership of the name but have not used it since and let the trademark expiry.
Cody Rhodes would register the trademark March this year. According to this link he also owns Battlebowl, Bunkhouse Stampede, and The Match Beyond as well.
It should be noted WWE can continue to show old WCW events with this name on the Network, they just can’t make future events named “Bash at the Beach.”
The name itself has significance in pro wrestling history as it was the event Hulk Hogan turned heel as became the third member of the NWO.
MLW has secured the “Samoan Smashing Machine” Jacob Fatu to a contract for the next several years. This is a big signing for the company because he is their current MLW World Heavyweight Champion, and is highly regarded within WWE due to being part of the Anoa’i family. His father is The Tonga Kid, Umaga was his uncle, and The Usos are his cousins. He was also trained by Rikishi.
MLW CEO and founder Court Bauer said regarding the signing:
“We are excited to know that Fatu is someone we can build around, and we look forward to seeing him fight under the MLW banner for years to come.”
Adding to that signing, MLW has hired Alicia Atout as a correspondent and interviewer. She has worked with both IMPACT and AEW in the same role previously and has is known for her award-winning interview vlog AMBY.
Known as the “Interview Queen” she is highly regarded as a social media influencer so she will potentially bring eyes to MLW who hadn’t been watching previously.
Interesting Twitter account @Wrestlenomics share some fascinating wrestling financial info and this weekend noted what Stephanie McMahon receives as “Minimum Annual Compensation” as a pro wrestler.
$750,000. Yes, you read that correctly.
To be fair it is only mid-card money, but considering over the past 5 years she has had 3 matches it works out a huge amount per match.
For those curious, her 3 matches were losing to Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey in a tag match with Triple H at WrestleMania 34 in 2018, beating Brie Bella at Summerslam 2014, and beating Vickie Guerrero in a Mud Pool match on Raw in 2014.
Stephanie though does not need to make do with just her wrestler income, she also received $2.81 million last year as Chief Brand Officer. Plus she received dividends on her 2 million WWE shares.
That’s a lot of Network subscriptions.
Overnight SmackDown ratings show this week’s episode was down 10% from last week to 2,345,000 average viewers. This is the worst rating since moving to FOX, not including the one week it was on FS1 and had the worst rating in SmackDown history.
When FOX agreed on the deal to bring SmackDown to the channel they thought they were getting Brock Lesnar, but instead, they get King Corbin introducing a guy in a dog costume.

There was also Miz TV with Daniel Bryan and an NXT woman and Undisputed Era invasion.
The show finished behind every show on the major networks, except for ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat, and barely beat that. To say Vince McMahon is blowing the biggest opportunity he has ever had to make WWE mainstream is an understatement.
