Last week it was revealed that along with Robert Rood, Primo Colon had been suspended for 30 days without pay for a wellness violation. In an attempt to clear his name Primo would explain the situation to Primera Hora in Puerto Rico. He said:
“I was not on the road with the company, I was not scheduled for any event in the near future. I am in Puerto Rico when they called me suddenly, not to use me, but to travel to do a doping test. I was ready to do it, but I told them that I was in Puerto Rico and that I was willing to go to a place that they chose to test me without any problem, without any discomfort. I was not going to pay for a trip to just get tested for doping.”
“I didn’t hear anything from the company, and I thought they were going to call me when they found a place to do the test. Almost two months pass, and I get a letter that I am suspended, according to them, because I refused to take the test. And that is not correct. They took it as I was out of the country, but I was available.”
“I don’t want them to say that I failed a test, because that is totally false and incorrect. They usually do their doping test at events, someone collects the urine of wrestlers employees, referees, and do their evaluation once a month. I did not test anything positive. I was in Puerto Rico. I have to clarify it because my reputation is worth more than any check.”
“I’m under contract with them until October 2020. They have the facilities to call me and use me if they went. If they don’t want to use me, they still have to pay regardless. They are using new guys, and that’s how the industry goes. It’s basically like sitting on the bench and not playing.”
It’s unlikely his wellness violation will be removed because the whole point is to take the test when requested, not schedule it at a time or place that is more convenient. This could potentially allow a prohibited substance to leave your body, defeating the whole point of the test. Although given the circumstances, I can understand why Primo would be upset.

During the main event of WWE’s TLC PPV event, in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship between The Kabuki Warriors and Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, it appears that Kairi Sane was legitimately injured.

She appeared to be out on her feet, and it seems to be from one of below bumps, or a combination of both.

Either way, Sane was in no condition to finish the match, and it’s worrying that WWE officials didn’t either remove her or stop the contest entirely when it was clear to everybody watching at home she was struggling.

Becky Lynch would post the below on Twitter:

With Asuka following up with the following, which Charlotte Flair would retweet.

Kairi Sane has had a history of concussions, and almost retired because of them when she wrestled in Japan. Sadly it is believed from early reports that last night’s match resulted in another, although it won’t be known for sure until later today.

Hopefully, she can make a full recovery.

Jorge Arias, who was recently released from WWE, appeared at AAA’s Guerra de Titanes event in Mexico, portraying his WWE character Sin Cara. He wore the mask, and the Sin Cara name was shown on screen. It was Arias’s first appearance in AAA since wrestling there under the name Incognito in 2015.

It was a cool surprise to fans in attendance, but there could be legal repercussions because Arias has a 90-day non-compete clause, and the Sin Cara trademark (see below) is owned by WWE in Mexico until 29th March 2021.

It’s possible Arias, and AAA feel WWE won’t care enough to sue, but if WWE does allow a wrestler to violate their non-complete clause and use a WWE trademark, it does set a precedent that could open the door for other wrestlers in the future.

We’ll have to wait and see if WWE sets their attorney Jerry McDevitt on them.

The Cauliflower Alley Club has announced that Randy Colley, who wrestled as Moondog Rex, sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 69.

He was a former WWE (then called WWWF) Tag Team Champion along with Moondog King as part of The Moondogs.

He, along with Bill Eadie, created the Demolition gimmick, Eadie would play Ax, and Colley would play Smash. Unluckily for Colley, fans recognized him and chanted “Moondog” when he came out. This resulted in Vince McMahon replacing him with Barry Darsow, who had been wrestling as Krusher Khruschev in the NWA. Later in his career outside of WWE, he would wrestle as Detroit Demolition.

He would testify against Vince McMahon during the 1994 steroid trial and sued him over royalties and rights to the Demolition name, so don’t expect to see him in the WWE Hall of Fame.

During his career, he wrestled for WCW, USWA, WWC (Puerto Rico), Mid-South Wrestling, Stampede Wrestling, and many others.

Pierre Carl Ouellet, known to Ring OF Honor fans as PCO and WWE fans as one of The Quebecers, is now a World Champion.

He won the title by pinning Rush in the main event of last night’s ROH Final Battle event. The match was weapons filled and even included a hearse. It’s worth going out of your way to watch, but you can watch the finish below.

It’s a fantastic achievement for the 51-year-old, who had retired in 2011 before returning to the ring in 2016, working independents before tuning down IMPACT and eventually joining ROH in 2018. In addition to being ROH Champion, he is also 1/3 of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship as part of Villain Enterprises along with Brody King and Marty Scurll.

The Lana/Rusev/Lashley storyline is very hit or miss for many fans, but the ratings and YouTube views are up when it is featured. Add the fact that Vince McMahon loves it, and you know it will continue for the foreseeable future.

Some fans, though, are struggling to differentiate storyline from reality, and Lana told ComicBook.com she has been receiving death threats over the angle.

“I personally have received a lot of death threats, I’ve gotten calls from like WWE and the FBI, people actually threatening WWE. Having death threats on me and the FBI has had to call me and protect me. And I get death threats on my comments on Instagram, on Twitter. I mean, people are bullies. I mean today, I opened my email account, and I had this death threat on my email.”

It’s crazy to think that in 2019, kayfabe is alive and well. It’s most likely just trolls, but it’s a horrifying thing for Lana to have to deal with. Hopefully, the FBI traces these people and takes action.

Last week say AEW Dymanite beat NXT in the Wednesday Night Wars by just 6,000 average viewers, so it couldn’t have been closer going into last night’s episodes.

AEW Dynamite ended up decreasing from 851,000 average viewers to 778,000 viewers, and NXT fell from 845,000 average viewers to 778,000 viewers. Yes, you read that right, it was a tie! With both shows having significant drops though is a worry.

AEW Dynamite featured The Butcher and The Blade defeating QT Marshall and Cody, Hangman Page and Omega beating Spears and Sabian, Luchasaurus beating Sammy Guevara, and The Young Bucks winning a Texas Street Fight over Santana and Ortiz to become #1 contenders for the tag titles.

NXT had Angel Garza win the Cruiserweight Championship from Lio Rush, Dakota Kai defeated Mia Yim, Breezango defeated The Singh Brothers, and Finn Balor defeating Keith Lee and Tommaso Ciampa to become #1 contender.

As usual, AEW won the key demos, except the over 50’s, but NXT has a major advantage going it to next weeks because their episode will be headlined by Finn Balor challenging Adam Cole for the NXT Championship.

Okay, so not quite everything, but following Cody Rhodes trademarking a number former WCW show names, WWE has had their lawyers working overtime. In addition to trademarking “Barely Legal” and “Cyberslam,” they have applied for the below trademarks on the 6th December.

  • Hardcore Heaven
  • Greed
  • Uncensored
  • Spring Stampede
  • Chi-Town Rumble
  • Sin
  • Souled Out
  • Fully Loaded
  • Living Dangerously
  • Heat Wave
  • Anarchy Rulz
  • World War 3
  • New Blood Rising
  • Hog Wild
  • Capital Combat
  • Road Wild
  • Beach Blast
  • Massacre on 34th Street
  • Mayhem
  • There is no reason to believe WWE won’t receive all of these, so sadly dreams of an AEW Hog Wild event seem to be over.

Forget calling his momma, Brodus Clay needs to call his lawyer. He along with Fox News are being sued by Fox Nation host Britt McHenry, who has accused the network of being a “sanctuary for sexual harassers.”

McHenry claims that Clay, real name George Murdoch sent her sexually explicit text messages, and after she complained to Fox, she was told she was “replaceable.”

    Messages included:

“Keep being negative and I’ll send you another dick pic.”

    As well as:

“I love the fact your always working if we ever had sex I feel like after an orgazzum you say speaking of feeling good did see the story on the puppy rescue we should do a segment on it hand me my phone.”

Also, McHenry says Murdoch became hostile to her when she revealed to him that she had a boyfriend. She claims she complained multiple times, but no action was taken by anyone at Fox.

Other defendants include Fox Entertainment Group, Fox Corp, News Corp, Fox Nation boss John Finley, executive producer Jennifer Rauchet and human resources executive, Monica Mekeel.

    Fox has said:

“As we have previously stated, Ms. McHenry’s allegations have been fully investigated, and we are confident our actions will be deemed entirely appropriate in litigation. We expect all of her claims to be dismissed.”

WWE has confirmed that Primo and Robert Roode have both been suspended for Wellness Policy violations on their corporate website. No specific details were given. As it is their first infraction, they are suspended for 30 days immediately.

All full-time wrestlers are eligible to be tested, and these are the first failures since Paige was suspended in October 2016.

It seems Big Cass still doesn’t like Joey Janela. The pair had an altercation at an indie show in September, where Cass hit Joey Janela and threating to kill him due to his issues with tag partner Enzo Amore. Cass would end up getting punched by Pat Buck and removed by police.

Cass would later apologize, saying that he “let my demons get the better of me.” Janela would not press charges because he knew people who had substance abuse problems and understood what Cass was dealing with.

It seemed like the issue was in the past until Big Cass returned to social media today with the below threat to Joey Janela.

There was lots of negative feedback aimed at Big Cass for this, and he quickly deleted the tweet. Of course, the internet never forgets, and it was screenshot by Twitter user @ItsKlondikeBill.

Cass would then post again, saying the initial tweet was a work, as you can see below.

It seems though if it was work, Joey Janela wasn’t in on it as he replied saying he would never work with him.

So given Janela’s tweet, it is unlikely the original tweet was a work. If it were a work, it wouldn’t make sense to delete the tweet and tell everyone it was a work, unless this is some Brian Pillman level plan.

That said, some indie promoter is probably trying to put a match between the pair together right now.

It has been revealed that Batista and four members of the nWo (Hogan, Nash, Hall, and Waltman) will be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame next year.

This will be Batista’s first Hall of Fame induction, while Hogan, Nash, and Hall have gone in individually previously, and Waltman went in as part of DX.

    Batista told People.com:

“As soon as I hung up the phone, I was … and excuse my language, I was like, ‘Sh*t, I gotta give a speech. And that is what I’ve been stressing about since, I don’t think it’s sunk in, and I was thinking about it because I mean, it seems like a long journey, but it also feels like yesterday when I started my career. And it also feels … because I’m still working so much, it doesn’t feel like an end of a journey.”

    Hogan would tell ESPN.com:

“You’ve got four guys that were basically going at Vince as a shoot, pushing hard to actually try to take over. Not put him out of business but basically take his spot and be the No. 1 company. All of a sudden, you’re inducting four guys in the Hall of Fame that 20 years ago were trying to stab you in the back. It’s like Vince says: In the WWE, never say never.”

The ceremony will take place on April 2nd in Tampa, Florida, before that weekends, WrestleMania 36 show.
