In the past, Impact Wrestling had its channel suspended after a segment involving RVD, Katie Forbes, and model Jennifer Barlow was deemed too raunchy. They did eventually get reinstated, and as this is, Miro’s first violation, it’s expected he will be able to stream again soon as well. Cameo.com allows fans to get personalized messages from their favorite celebrities, with prices varying depending on the star. Some cost as little as $5, and the highest is currently $2,500 for Caitlyn Jenner. Thousands of celebrities have joined the platform, many of whom are pro wrestlers, with names including Roman Reigns, Ric Flair, Rey Mysterio, Sasha Banks, and Alexa Bliss being available.
One fan, named Antonio, has seized this opportunity to shoot his shot, paying $400 to request a video from Alexa Bliss. It seems that he used the space to fill in the request to ask her out. Bliss sent a friendly video reply stating she flattered but already seeing someone. The full Cameo video can be viewed below.

Had Antonio used Google, he could have saved himself the money as Bliss has been dating singer Ryan Cabrera since last year. The pair first met last October at the SmackDown on Fox premier when the Miz, who is friends with Cabrera, introduced them backstage.
After being released in April as part of budgetary cuts, we now know that Matt Cardona, the former Zack Ryder has joined All Elite Wrestling. He made his debut last night on Dynamite saving Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson from an attack by Jon Silver and Alex Reynolds of the Dark Order following Cody’s TNT Championship defense against Warhorse. During next week’s episode of Dynamite, Cardona will make his in-ring debut teaming with real-life friend Cody against Silver and Reynolds.
In addition, Ariane Andrew, previously known as Cameron in WWE, made a backstage appearance where we found out she will be Nyla Rose’s tag partner in AEW’s Women’s Tag Team Cup. Ariane has been out of the business since being released by WWE in 2016, although she has been planning a comeback since 2019. She was set to appear at an indie event during WrestleMania Week, which was obviously canceled. As of writing, it isn’t known if she has signed a contract with AEW.

Jon Moxley had an incredibly successful run in WWE. He was part of one of the most iconic groups in wrestling history, he held numerous titles including the WWE Championship, headlined multiple pay-per-views, and even met his wife. However, for much of his time, he was unhappy, and the reason was that he didn’t fit into WWE’s inflexible system.
Now talking to Busted Open, he shared what drove him crazy the most during his eight years with Vince McMahon’s company.
I was like ok to the writer, I got some cool ideas. We can say this or that, and they were like, no, this is the way you’re going to say it. I was like, yea, but this is my idea, and it was made very clear to us that this is what you are going to say. I remember having this feeling in the pit of my stomach, like, oh my God, I made a terrible mistake.
Pressure is having a two-page script written by a 74-year-old madman that makes no sense to you that’s going to make you look stupid, and you’re on worldwide TV live, and you have to memorize every single line and somehow try to pull it off and not look like a total jackass. That’s pressure. A lot of times, I did pull that off. A lot of times, I didn’t. Jon Moxley
From all accounts, Moxley is much happier now he is with AEW and has a much bigger say in his character, plus he no longer has to worry about a “74-year-old madman.”
Rey Mysterio suffered a kayfabe eye injury at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules when Seth Rollins drove his eye into the corner of the steel steps. WWE shared an initial update on WWE.com and their social media, saying there was a chance Mysterio would be able to keep his full eyesight. The reason for not confirming one way or another was because Mysterio is currently working without a contract, and if he does not re-sign, they can use this as an excuse for writing him off their television.
Yesterday WWE issued a second update, which you can read below. It is much more optimistic in tone, seemingly indicating WWE is expecting Mysterio to return eventually.
At present, Mysterio’s handshake deal is at the same rate he was earning on his last contract. Currently, negotiations between Mysterio and WWE are on-going, and it’s understood Mysterio and Vince McMahon had a meeting last week to discuss terms. The stumbling block appears to be pay, as WWE does not want to meet his pay increase demands due to them being in cost-cutting mode, but given the update perhaps they are getting closer to a number.
Kairi Sane was written off WWE television during last night’s Raw in a segment that was taped last week. While Asuka and Sasha Banks were wrestling for the Raw Women’s Championship, on the big screen, the production team showed Bayley brutally attacking Sane backstage. Asuka ran to the back to help and was counted out, which under the rules of the match made Banks the new champion. We were told that Sane was being treated in the trainer’s room, and Asuka left the room in tears.
After the angle aired, Sane took to Twitter to post the below tweets saying goodbye to the locker room and the fans.
Sane’s WWE departure is because she has made the decision to move back to Japan to be with her husband, who she married this past in February. Despite opting to leave, it’s believed she is on good terms with WWE, and they may work together in the future.
Sane has been with WWE since 2017, where she received a massive push by winning the Mae Young Classic that same year by defeating Tessa Blanchard, Bianca Belair, Dakota Kai, Toni Storm, and Shayna Baszler. She’d go on to have a 71-day reign as NXT Women’s Champion in 2018, and on the main roster, she was one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Asuka for 180-days.
AJ Styles’ gaming channel is fast becoming a great source of wrestling news because after calling Paul Heyman a liar and burying Dixie Carter’s creative vision in TNA, he has now revealed he turned down a spot in the TNA Hall of Fame.
Styles would state his reason for declining was he didn’t want to be honored while working for someone else. He also finds it strange to induct a currently active wrestler. This means he wouldn’t be available to be inducted until 2024 when it’s believed his current WWE deal expires.
The TNA Hall of Fame was established in 2012 and became known as the Impact Hall of Fame in 2017 after TNA rebranded as Impact Wrestling. Inductions usually occur in association with Bound For Glory and inductees include Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Kurt Angle, Gail King, Team 3D, Earl Hebner, and Abyss. Ken Shamrock, who was the companies first World Champion, is scheduled to be inducted this year.
SummerSlam is less than a month away, and right now, the location is unconfirmed. The event was scheduled to take place at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, but due to the pandemic, Boston’s mayor has suspended all large scale gathering until September at the earliest. The obvious solution would be to hold the pay-per-view at the Performance Center, however, it’s understood WWE is thinking of doing something more visually appealing and are looking at alternatives.
The location choices under deliberation are either holding the show on a beach which WCW did in the 90’s or hosting the event onboard a boat, much like the episode of Dynamite taped on Chris Jericho’s cruise. A combination of both could also be a possibility.
At present, the top matches on the show are expected to be WWE Champion Drew McIntyre defending against Randy Orton and WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman wrestling The Fiend.
One of wrestling’s biggest current mysteries was why wasn’t Nick Aldis on WWE’s radar, especially considering his wife is with the company. Recently we found out that the reason is that Bruce Prichard, who leads both the Raw and Smackdown writing teams, is quoted as saying, “he doesn’t have the It Factor.” When news of this got back to Aldis, he was understandably upset, but has taken to Twitter to fire back at Prichard and made fun of Raw’s ratings, which have been falling at an alarming rate.

Nick Aldis
It would seem from that tweet that Aldis has given up on wrestling for WWE because mocking Raw’s ratings, which have almost halved over the past three years, publicly won’t win him any friends in the company.
Now that Mixer is no more, AJ Styles have moved on to Twitch, but he is still taking fan’s questions and doesn’t hold back with his answers. When Vince Russo and Dixie Carter’s names came up in regards to his time in TNA, he shared his disdain for the former TNA President.
While Dixie Carter is often criticized for her time in TNA, she did save them going out of business after HealthSouth Corporation cut its financial support of the promotion. Dixie convinced her parents, who owned Panda Energy International, to purchase 71% of TNA for $250,000. She would go on to become TNA President, but after the promotion failed to challenge WWE, her parents reduced their support for TNA. After legal issues involving owing money to Billy Corgan, the company was sold to Anthem Sports and Entertainment, who rebranded TNA as Impact Wrestling.
Sting had an incredible 30-year in-ring career, where he was arguably the biggest star in the history of WCW, and deservedly was the headline induction for the 2006 WWE Hall of Fame. He also influenced a future generation of wrestlers with John Cena, Jeff Hardy, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Shelton Benjamin, and even Tommy Dreamer, having all stated that he inspired them.
Now in an interview with the Two Man Power Trip podcast, he spoke about his legacy and how he hopes fans remember him now he is retired.
Sting had spent most of the last six years connected to WWE but was recently released from his Legends contract. This has related in speculation that Sting could end up working with AEW, who have a good track record of using past stars such as Arn Anderson, DDP, and Jake Roberts in the promotion. It certainly would be fitting in the final chapter of his career ended on TNT, which was the home of WCW.
Former WCW star Disco Inferno took to Twitter to question whether Cody Rhodes is a heel, and Cody would reply that he considers the concept of heel and babyface to be a tired old trope.
Cody’s comments are reminiscent of those used by Vince McMahon in his 1997 speech that ushered in the Attitude Era. McMahon would state fans were tired of the simplistic theory of good guys versus bad guys, and this change in approach saw “Stone Cold” Steve Austin become arguably the biggest star in pro wrestling history as a rebellious anti-hero.
