Shotzi Blackheart had a lousy start to the day waking up to find her car had been stolen from outside her apartment. Regrettably, she’d also left he wrestling gear, boots, entrance jacket, and striking horned helmet in her vehicle, which she revealed on Twitter.
My car was stolen outside my apartment last night in Orlando. 2015 WHITE HONDA CIVIC LYTP77 last tracked driving down chickasaw at 5am.Shotzi Blackheart
Im mostly sad about my helmet… my first day of training seven years ago I saw that helmet hung up on the wall next to the ring. I looked at it everyday I went to training. Finally when it was time for me to start having matches I asked my trainers if I could have it. RIP HELMETShotzi Blackheart
If my helmet pops up on ebay or something PLEASE let me know! .Shotzi Blackheart
The timing couldn’t be worse for Blackheart with the next two NXT episodes scheduled to be taped tomorrow. Hopefully, she can work with WWE and her colleagues to put a new costume together in time.

Following the movie Ready To Rumble, WCW brought in David Arquette to promote the film and by getting involved in storylines. Initially, he’d wrestle and beat Eric Bischoff on Nitro, and fans were okay with that as some comedy relief. Then thanks to a suggestion by Tony Schiavone, on that week’s edition of Thunder, he’d team with DDP against Bischoff and Jeff Jarrett, with the stipulation being whoever got the pin would be WCW Champion. In a move that shocked the wrestling world, Arquette again pinned Bischoff and won the title. He’d hold the belt for 12 days before losing it at Slamboree 2000 in a triple threat match against Jeff Jarrett and DDP, where effectively gifted the title to Jarrett after turning on DDP.

The whole thing was nonsensical. WCW ultimately had killed their main championship, and Ready To Rumble was a massive commercial failure. It’s fair to say David Arquette getting involved with WCW was a disaster. However, in Arquette’s defense, he was against winning the WCW Championship and only went along with it at Vince Russo’s request. He also donated the money he made working for WCW to the families of Owen Hart, Droz, and Brian Pillman, which was an incredible gesture.

It appeared Arquette was done with pro wrestling, apart from a one-off WWE appearance as, but then he made the surpassing announcement eighteen years of his WCW debacle that he was becoming an indie wrestler. Seemingly Arquette could no longer handle being the butt of wrestling fans jokes, and being in his late 40’s and having suffered a heart attack, he was determined to earn fans respect.

Always being the showman, Arquette partnered with David Darg and Price James to document his redemption story. Titled “You Cannot Kill David Arquette,” the documentary features his sisters Patricia and Rosanna Arquette, ex-wife Courteney Cox, Ric Flair, DDP, and Eric Bischoff. The trailer has just been released, and you can watch it below.

The 90-minute documentary is set to be released on the 28th of August 2020 as a digital release and on-demand.

Mike Tyson looked set to compete in AEW this year against Chris Jericho after crashing the Inner Circle pep-rally on Dynamite. However, he has since signed on to fight an eight-round exhibition boxing match against Roy Jones Jr. for charity. The fight was initially scheduled to occur on September 12 in Carson, California, but it has now been pushed back to November 28. The reason for the delay hasn’t been made public, but it’s been reported by Ring Magazine that Tyson’s team believes they can maximize revenue by rescheduling.

This past Saturday, on his Saturday Night Special, Chris Jericho confirmed a match against Mike Tyson in AEW is still on the table, stating he isn’t going anywhere and mentions there is an AEW pay-per-view planned in November.

We’re not done yet. He has this fight with Roy Jones Jr. on September 12, which cut down any chances of a match with me on the 5th. Like I said, I get that it’s a lot of money at stake, and that’s fine. I’m not going anywhere. We have another PPV in November, and we’ll see what happens.Chris Jericho

Obviously, Jericho made this comment before news of the postponement broke, so sadly for AEW fans, it now seems the earliest Mike Tyson could compete in AEW would be at February’s Revolution pay-per-view. That said, AEW could reignite the angle at short notice and have the match at All Out on September 5, 2020.

Last December, The Young Bucks abruptly left Twitter and now have a single account managed by someone else. However, eight months later, Matt Jackson, who is still active On Instagram, has explained the reason was because of menacing tweets the brothers were receiving, including Google Map images of where they lived.

I applaud anyone who decides to take a break from social media. Especially the toxic world of Twitter specifically. We logged off when threatening messages were sent to us regularly & finally the last straw came when google map images of our homes were being tweeted at us. It’s been a nice break for our mental health. If someone decides to sign off, good for them!Matt Jackson

It’s depressing that social media brings out the worst in some people, and it doesn’t take long for anyone using Twitter to encounter uninformed and hateful tweets. Over the last year, Seth Rollins, Kylie Rae, Scott Hall, Mick Foley, Maruo Ranallo, Nia Jax, and Brandi Rhodes have joined The Young Bucks in deciding to leave Twitter, although some have since returned.

Having either been fired from or burnt bridges with almost every major American wrestling company in existence, Jim Cornette now focuses on his podcasting career. While his shows are usually entertaining, they can be controversial. For instance, when he suggested Justin Roberts shouldn’t be allowed around children, Dana Brooke looking like a burn victim, and questioning Becky Lynch’s decision to get pregnant.

He also takes every opportunity he can to spew his angry vitriol at AEW due to his hatred of much of the roster, with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega often being specifically targeted due to their roles as executive vice presidents. Even Chris Jericho hasn’t been spared Cornette’s sharp tongue, as he was heavily critical of the Stadium Stampede match at Double or Nothing, which Jericho took great pride in.

Jericho has now publicly spoken out on Twitter about his former Smoking Mountain Wrestling boss, banning him from watching AEW television until further notice.

I am officially banning @TheJimCornette from watching any & all future episodes of #AEWDynamite & #AEWDark. He is under @AEWrestling suspension until further notice. Thank you. #DemoGod

Chris Jericho

It isn’t clear what the final straw was, causing Jericho’s to introduce the ban. However, Cornette did refer to this past Wednesday debate between Jericho and Orange Cassidy as “an insult to your intelligence” on the latest Jim Cornette Experience.

We now wait to see if Cornette adheres to the ban or continues to hate-watch AEW religiously.

The wrestling world is currently in mourning, following the news that James Harris, better known to wrestling fans as Kamala, has died. The 70-year old tested positive for COVID-19 last Wednesday and went into cardiac arrest and passed on Sunday afternoon.

It is a sad end for a man who has been plagued by health issues over the past decade. In November 2011, he had to have his left leg amputated below the knee due to diabetes and high blood pressure. Then in April 2012, he had to have his right leg amputated below the knee as well. Then on November 19, 2017, he ended up on life support due to complications from surgery to clear fluid from around his heart and lungs.

James Harris’ wrestling carer begun in 1978 under the name “Sugar Bear” Harris, and he would later become Kamala in 1982 when he started working for the Continental Wrestling Association. CWA’s promoter Jerry Lawler created the Ugandan headhunter gimmick, initially calling him Kimala. He’d make his way to WWE in 1984 and then 1986 and 1987, where he would challenge Hulk Hogan for the WWF championship. He’d depart due to a pay dispute with Vince McMahon. He returned in 1992 and wrestled the Undertaker at SummerSlam in arguably the most high profile match of his career in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. He’d pop up in WCW in 1995 as part of Kevin Sullivan’s Dungeon of Doom stable before fading away from the limelight.

In 2015 Kamala released his autobiography titled “Kamala Speaks,” which can be purchased for Kindle. The highly recommend read covers racism, his battle with diabetes, and wrestling Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, and The Undertaker.

The first wave of AEW figures made by Jazwares hit shelves this week, with the first series containing Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, Brandi Rhodes, Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson, and Kenny Omega. Walmart sells them for either $19.87 or $19.97 depending on location, and based on reports, they are becoming nearly impossible to find in stores. Cody himself would tweet that his local store was on the brink of selling out.

It’s WILD – my local store only has one Kenny and one Cody figure left. I’m glad people are getting their hands on these. It’s a great line!Cody Rhodes

It looks like if you didn’t pre-order or get to the store quickly, you might have missed out on your chance on getting these figures. However, if money isn’t an issue, some can be purchased on eBay, but the prices are quickly escalating. One seller is already asking for $90 for a Kenny Omega and $70 for Chris Jericho.

Tyson Kidd’s career ended at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas, in a match against Samoa Joe in 2015. Samoa Joe’s finishing maneuver, the “Muscle Buster,” damaged Kidd’s spinal cord, resulting in him requiring 16 staples, four screws, and a rod inserted in his neck. Only 5% of people who suffer this injury recover, and the majority of those end up with paraplegia or quadriplegia.

However, a recent video showing Kidd running the ropes, wrestling his wife Natalya, and doing a headstand on a turnbuckle has resulted in speculation he could be looking to make a comeback. You can watch the video for yourself below, showing Kidd in fantastic shape.

Given the extent of his injury, it seems unlikely a return would be possible, but given Daniel Bryan and Edge managed to make miraculous returns to the ring in recent years, perhaps it could also happen for Kidd.

Back in January, MVP was a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match, and the following night he wrestled on Raw losing to Rey Mysterio. It was believed these appearances were his swansong, but WWE brought him back to be a backstage producer and host his “VIP Lounge” segment On Raw. Soon afterward, he aligned himself with Bobby Lashley becoming known as the Hurt Business, and they’d become a significant part of Raw.

MVP’s remarkable comeback is now complete because he has confirmed on Instagram he has signed a multi-year deal with WWE.

Tonight, I’m drinking “the good stuff”. Yamazaki 18 from @suntorywhisky is the spirit of choice. I have come to terms with @wwe on a multi-year deal. MVP is in #thehurtbusiness for the foreseeable future! Kampai! NOW… it’s official!MVP

At 46 years of age and having been away from WWE for a decade, the idea of MVP having another meaningful run with the company seemed far-fetched. He has shown that if you take your opportunities and impress the right people, anything can happen.

Vickie Guerrero made her AEW debut on the December 11th, 2019 episode of AEW. This appearance resulted in WWE severing ties with her, which shocked many in the industry, considering her late-husband died working for the company. AEW would step in make her welcome, first by having her as an audience member cheering on the wrestlers and involving her in The Inner Circle’s pep rally on Dynamite. Then on the July 15th Fight of the Fallen themed episode of Dynamite, she appeared as Nyla Rose’s manager.

Now in an interview, she has confirmed she signed her AEW contract this week and stated she wanted to work for AEW because of her numerous friendships and how AEW respects their talent.

I retired from WWE in 2014. My focus was not to return to them. We just had a lot of just difference of opinions and things going on. If it wasn’t going to be for AEW, I don’t think I would be anywhere else, but when AEW presented that there was some opportunity, I gave 100%, just my whole being. I said, “I’m here for you, and I can’t wait to be a team player with the company.”

I think it was a lot of mutual friends, I have a lot of great friends that I’ve known from past years, Cody Rhodes, and Dean Malenko, gosh, just me collaborating and being at different appearances. There’s been conversation back and forth. I think with that, we just came to the conclusion that I would love to work at AEW, which I expressed fully. I just, I fell in love with the company and the respect they have for the superstars, and the way they run their company was something that attracted me. That’s where I am now. I’m really happy to be there. Vickie Guerrero

Despite signing with WWE’s competition, she stated she was grateful for the opportunities they gave her late husband Eddie Guerrero and herself. She’d add Eddie looked at Vince McMahon like his father.

With WWE, I’m always grateful for the opportunity they gave to my late husband, Eddie Guerrero, then for me too, to start my legacy, so to speak. I’m very grateful for what they gave me back then and just gave me the opportunity to further my career. I’ll always grateful for that.

Eddie thought of him as a dad. He was very good to me and took great care of me when Eddie passed away. I think my focus with WWE was to do the best I could for him. I did that, and we left on very good terms.Vickie Guerrero

Vickie Guerrero first became a performer int he wrestling industry in 2005 during the famous feud between Eddie and Rey Mysterio over custody of Mysterio’s son, Dominick. Tragically a few months later, Eddie passed away. WWE would later bring her back to the company initially associating with Chavo Guerrero. She went on to be General Manager of SmackDown from 2007 to 2011 and Raw from 2011 to 2013. During this time, she was twice recognized by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter as Best Non-Wrestler.

Away from WWE, Shane McMahon is the Executive Vice Chairman for New York based Ideanomics, which deals in including electric vehicles and financial services. Documents show McMahon has previously loaned the Company $3 million and, at one time, owned $2.1 million worth of Ideanomics stock.

Surprisingly he has now been named a defendant in a lawsuit by an investor named Ali Toorani due to Ideanomics allegedly making misleading claims and statements. According to reports, evidence has been found that Ideanomics doctored photos in press releases to suggest it owns a one million square foot vehicle sales center in China when it does not. This was discovered after an investigator went to the location and found no trace of them. Also, names listed as “buyers” were found to be not legitimate after checks found none had made a purchase.

A quote from the lawsuit which specifical names Shane McMahon can be read below thanks to HeelByNature.com

As a longtime Company director, he conducted little, if any, oversight of the Company’s engagement in the schemes to make false and misleading statements during the First and Second Relevant Periods, consciously disregarded his duties to monitor such controls over reporting and engagement in the schemes, and consciously disregarded his duties to protect corporate assets. Furthermore, Defendant McMahon signed, and thus personally made the false and misleading statements in 2017 10-K. For these reasons, too, Defendant McMahon breached his fiduciary duties, faces a substantial likelihood of liability, is not independent or disinterested, and thus demand upon him is futile and, therefore, excused. This is a very serious situation for Shane McMahon, and we will keep you updated.

Marty Jannetty has spent his life self-sabotaging himself. Somehow he was able to get fired by WWE a record eight times, once not even making a single appearance before being let go. Yesterday he managed to get himself in more trouble by dropping a bombshell on Facebook that he made a man “disappear” when he was 13. The victim was actually trying to abuse him, so he was technically acting in self-defense. However, the Columbus Police Department in Georgia has confirmed they are investigating.

In typical Jannetty fashion, after being advised not to do interviews, he agreed to be interviewed by Boston Wrestling MWF. The full interview is 22 minutes in length and can be found on their YouTube channel. However, you can listen to a brief excerpt below in which he reveals he bashed the man’s head in with a brick.

[adthrive-in-post-video-player video-id=”WBFnh6f3″ upload-date=”2020-08-06T19:57:37.000Z” name=”Marty Jannetty Interview Clip” description=”” player-type=”default” override-embed=”default”]

There was a brick laying there, and what I said on my Facebook post, I’m not gonna lie about nothing, what do you do when you’re 13?

I can’t say he deserved to die, but he deserved to get his ass beat. And when I was beating him in the head with a brick, I was only trying to beat his ass; I wasn’t trying to kill him.

Can you imagine dragging him to the river and throwing him in? And then finding out on the news this guy is missing? And you know the dude. And you know more than that, I made my mind up that day nobody would ever hurt me again. Marty Jannetty

Jannetty’s shocking admission trended on Twitter, and after the news was picked up by TMZ, it quickly traveled around the world in mainstream publications. We now wait to find out what action the police decide to take.
