It’s hard to imagine WWE out of the control of the McMcMahon family. Still, there has been speculation it could happen since 2016. During an investors call that year, McMahon said, “we’re business people, so it’s not a question of if the right deal came along, it’s one of those things where if it’s a deal you couldn’t refuse, we’re listening. “Since, then there has been speculation about FOX, Disney, and even the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman purchasing the company.
Now, in a recent interview, current WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan was asked about the present possibility, following WWE’s huge content licensing agreement with NBCUniversal for their Peacock streaming service.
Nick Khan has previously been referred to as a deal maker, and WWE paid big money to recruit him. He received a $5 million sign-on bonus on top of his base salary of $1.2 million per year. He is also set to earn a bonus of $1.9 million if targets are met, and considering he negotiated the $1 billion Peacock deal, it’s almost certain he smashed the target. Some observers said Khan had brought into eventually negotiate a sale of WWE. However, if his comments are to be taken at face value, that appears to be false.
Victoria hadn’t wrestled for WWE since 2009 up until the Royal Rumble pay-per-view at the end of January. However, she was a surprise entrant during the women’s Rumble match. Now the two-time WWE Women’s Champion and five-time TNA Knockouts Champion has discussed her appearance on her Grown Ass Women YouTube show. She’d reveal she only found out two weeks prior she was going to be in the match and that several wrestlers who likely had grown up watching her wanted to take her famous finisher.
I was blown up. I was out of breath because I got the call two weeks before the Rumble, and you cant get in ring shape in two weeks. It’s just impossible. I bought a recumbent bike. A recumbent bike. I’m sitting on my butt pedaling going, oh my god, I don’t want to look like, as Mickie would say, a sack of potatoes coming out. You’re not ready because the adrenaline, it was just a lot to take in. I’m like, am I ready? Oh my God, I don’t want the fans to be disappointed in my performance, I want them to still think I can kick ass.
It was also cool going through certain moves, and stuff like that, the girls were like, can you give me a move, can you give me a move. I want to take a move. I wasn’t used to it. I got in the ring, and all the girls were cluttering me. I was going, whoa. I go, am I bumping or are you guys bumping for me? Then I put Peyton in the Widow’s Peak, all the girls you saw line up going can you give me the Widow’s Peak, can you give me the Widow’s Peak? It was freakin awesome.Victoria
Victoria has been retired since 2019, so it’s easy to understand why she felt two weeks was not long enough to prepare for the Rumble match, especially aged 49. She would end up lasting a respectable seven minutes, having entered at #10. Fans online were delighted to see her, and her return would likely have been a bigger talking point had both Carlito and Christian not made their own returns later in the evening. What’s next for Victoria isn’t known, but she’d be an excellent choice for a future WWE Hall of Fame induction.
WWE had big plans for Lars Sullivan upon his callup to the main roster. He was set to face John Cena at his first WrestleMania, but after he suffered an anxiety attack, he skipped Raw, and WWE changed plans. He would get another opportunity, but not long into the run, he suffered a severe knee injury keeping him out for 18 months. When he returned, he would beat both Jeff Hardy and Shorty G in quick matches and then, out of nowhere, disappeared. He again was suffering anxiety issues and was not able to eat or sleep before appearing on television. Due to this, WWE agreed to release him in January.
Now going by his real name Dylan Milley, the former WWE star has shared an out-of-context image on his Instagram, seemingly displaying a proposed gimmick. The character looks like a badass villain out of a Sherlock Holmes story. Still, without Sullivan providing any other information other than the name “The Brilliant Behemoth Lawrence Sulivan,” it’s hard to judge if it would have worked or not. Based on the below image, it doesn’t appear to be something that would feature in the main event.
Time will tell if the gimmick is discarded entirely now that Sullivan is gone, or if it ends up being used by another wrestler down the line. WWE has been known to sit onto gimmicks for years, waiting for the right talent to play them, so The Brilliant Behemoth could still see the light of day.
In July 2020, Raymond Rowe, known to WWE fans as Erik of The Viking Raiders, and his wife Sarah Logan, announced they were expecting their first child. Now, following Logan’s 44-hour labor, the proud father has shared a photo of his son Raymond Cash Rowe on social media. He’d also thankfully confirm both mother and baby are doing well.
Erik has not yet appeared on WWE television this year, having only sporadically wrestled since his tag partner Ivar was injured last September. Logan is currently on hiatus from the wrestling industry after being released from her WWE contract in April 2020.
During Monday night’s Raw, Lana and Nia Jax had an unadvertised ahead of time tables match. Jax dominated throughout, but the match descended into comedy, at the conclusion of when Jax went for a leg drop on the apron but missed. She’d sell the bump like she’d broken her tailbone and loudly proclaimed, “My hole.” WWE has edited this out of the match’s YouTube version, but you can watch it for yourself below.

The spot was clearly done so Lana could steal the win by pushing Jax through a table set up outside the ring. WWE likely hoped the big takeaway would be Lana getting revenge on Jax, who has continuously put her through tables. However, the “my hole” line is what fans online latched onto. The line would begin trending on Twitter shortly after the match, with many fans making memes and jokes. Mick Foley would also jokingly comment, saying he believed WWE should capitalize with a t-shirt, and “that My Hole” could be the “Austin 3:16” of this generation.
Shane McMahon hasn’t appeared on Raw since Raw Underground quietly disappeared last September. Since then, his only WWE appearance has been at Survivor Series for the Undertaker retirement ceremony. Tonight though, Vince McMahon’s son returned to Raw at the show’s start and joined Adam Pearce in the ring. Shane would say he was there to make a blockbuster announcement about the main event of Elimination Chamber.
Shane handed over to Pearce, who announced that Drew McIntyre would defend the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber. He’d then reveal he’d be facing five former WWE champions in Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, The Miz, and Sheamus.
As Shane was leaving, he seemingly recognized Omos, who was with AJ Styles, possibly acknowledging he used to be Shane’s doorman and bouncer on Raw Underground. Before Shane left in his limo, McIntyre stopped him, saying he’d have liked a heads up, as he thought he’d be facing his former friend Sheamus one-on-one at the pay-per-view.
Nia Jax has a lousy reputation with fans for injuring her opponents. She inflicted her most infamous injury to Becky Lynch when she busted her open on Raw, leaving her bloodied and concussed. In addition, she has also hurt Ember Moon, Bayley, Zelina Vega, Charlotte Flair, Kairi Sane, and possibly others.
Jax is well-aware of her reputation, and on occasion, will comment on Twitter to fan criticism mockingly. Today though, she’d made a joke out of her notoriety by claiming to have moved the table that Lince Dorado struck his head on following a moonsault on NXT.
I moved the table so it could injure you 😈😈😈😈 https://t.co/Y7kO4admQy

Some fans and critics think WWE gives Jax a pass on her reckless ways due to being related to The Rock, as her father is a cousin of Peter Maivia. While that makes sense, it seems unlikely he’d support her injuring colleagues, either accidentally or intentionally.
Shaul Guerrero, the daughter of the late great Eddie Guerrero, recently made a return to the ring by participating in a tournament for Generation Championship Wrestling in Tampa, Florida. She’d win her first-round match by defeating Renee Michelle but lost her semi-final match against Queen Aminata. These had been her first matches leaving WWE when she competed as Raquel Diaz in both FCW and NXT.
It looked like this was the begging of a comeback, which could perhaps see her return to a major company. However, over the weekend, she has announced on social media she is withdrawing from all bookings due to what she described as a mental illness crisis linked to her eating disorder.
Best,
Shaul Guerrero Shaul Guerrero
The third-generation wrestler was signed to WWE between 2010 and 2014, although her last match for them was in 2013. During that time, they would put her through three months of in-patient treatment to help her with the eating disorder she had suffered from since being 10. She would successfully resume training, although after requesting some additional time off to heal from bumping was subsequently released. After a four-year hiatus from the business, she would return as a ring announcer, working for several promotions, including AEW for their AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament.
Shaul Guerrero clearly has a passion for the business, so hopefully, she can continue her comeback when she is ready. There are a ton of fans out there who want to see another Guerrero succeed in the industry.
Terry Funk is one of the most beloved and respected wrestlers of all time. He began wrestling in 1965 and last wrestled in 2017, showing remarkable longevity. He should be enjoying a well-deserved retirement, however, Dustin Rhodes has shared the sad update on Twitter that Funk is currently in a lot of pain and has asked fans to send prayers. As many wrestlers do, Funk has lived in pain throughout his career, famously needing knee replacement surgery in the late 90s as documented in Beyond The Mat, but held out until 2012. It seems though the pain is now getting really severe.
A few days ago, the hardcore legend requested fans stop sending him items to autographs due to him being too old and tired. You can watch his request, which was originally uploaded to his Twitter account below.

It doesn’t seem long ago that Funk was hitting moonsaults in ECW, WWE, and WCW in his 50’s, but he actually turns 77 this year and is widowed following the passing of his wife of 54 years, Vicki. Hopefully, Funk can continue to battle on and keep kicking out at two and a half, as the wrestling world isn’t ready to mourn another legend.
Last year we reported that a U.S. District Court Judge had reviewed a case brought by Illinois tattooist Catherine Alexander against WWE and Take-Two Interactive. They determined that her designs had been used in WWE 2K video games, meaning the case would go to court, and a jury would decide if copyright infringement had occurred.
Alexander designed and tattoed Randy Orton’s tribal tattoo on his upper back and full sleeves between 2003 and 2008, which are clearly visible in the games, and is seeking compensation. A court date has now been set for September 20th, 2021, before the U.S. District Court Southern District of Illinois.
It’s alleged that in 2009 she asked WWE for financial compensation and, after being laughed at, was offered just $450 for the rights. A big part of the case will come down to whether the jury feels Alexander gave Orton an implied license, including sub-licensing rights. Randy Orton is not a defendant in the case but has stated in a declaration that he believed the tattoos were his own personal expression and was not made aware he’d need additional permission. WWE and Take-Two are also using fair use as a defense.
Take-Two Interactive won a similar case based on the tattoo designs used on NBA players LeBron James, Kenyon Martin, and Eric Bledsoe in 2020. In that case, the judge felt the tattoos weren’t similar enough to the player’s actual tattoos as they were smaller than how they appear in real life, and the player’s movements during games make them difficult to recognize. Plus, there was a reasonable inference of an implied license and fair use.
Dax Harwood, also known as Scott Dawson in WWE, is one of the world’s best tag team wrestlers. Along with Cash Wheeler, they were the first team to win the SmackDown, Raw, and NXT Championships in WWE, and last year held the AEW World Tag Team Championship for 63 days. While very successful, over the years, fans on social media have been critical of Harwood’s appearance. While not overweight, his body type is more similar to that of Arn Anderson than Lex Luger in his prime. Now the 36-year tag team specialist has opened up on his weight struggles, revealing on Instagram that he previously suffered from bulimia.
With the help of my friend @ferlanbaileyifbbpro, he’s put me on a healthier path and continues to guide me along even when I question him.
More than a coach, he’s a great human being. If you have dietary or workout needs, this is the guy for you! Thank you Ferlan, for all your help.
Now all you Internet fans can go back to talking about my dad bod and loose skin!Dax Harwood
Bulimia is a very serious disorder and is where someone binge eats, followed by vomiting, or uses laxatives. There are many serious health risks associated with bulimia, so thankfully, Harwood has managed to overcome the condition, and his career is thriving. Maybe with him opening up, it will help others struggling and perhaps even get fans to think twice before fat-shaming him and others on social media.
