New Zealander Toni Storm has been involved in a takeover of NXT’s Instagram account to celebrate Pride Month. This resulted in many fans querying if she was directly part of the LGBTQ community or an ally. It wasn’t known as she is in a relationship with New Japan’s Juice Robinson since last. However, in a video shared on WWE’s social media, she has now confirmed that she is bisexual.

Overall there has been much support and admiration for the 25-year-old for opening up about her sexuality. While not yet one of the most high-profile talents on WWE’s women’s roster, she is expected to be a star of the future. Previously she was the NXT UK Women’s champion in 2019 and is now ascertaining herself on the full NXT brand.

“Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff was a significant part of Vince McMahon’s national expansion as an opponent for Hulk Hogan. The pair would face off dozens of times in the mid-80s, and Orndorff, along with Roddy Piper, would wrestle Hogan and Mr.T in the main event of the first WrestleMania. Unfortunately, nerve damage to his arm and neck that was left untreated caused him to retire in 1988.

He would, though, return in 1989 and go on to work for WCW and Herb Abrams’ UWF but never recaptured his former main event stats and stepped away from a full-time schedule in 1995. He’d then work as both a trainer and a road agent for WCW, and apart from occasional appearances, he has remained out of the spotlight since.

Sadly, at the age of 71, he now appears to be in ill health at a medical facility as his son Travis has shared a heartbreaking video of the WWE Hall of Famer where he is unrecognizable and appears to be confused. Some who have watched the video speculate he may have dementia, although that hasn’t been confirmed. Regardless the video is uncomfortable viewing, but seemingly his son’s intention is to make fans aware of his father’s condition.

Health and injury issues have plagued Orndorff since he failed to pass the medical for the NFL with both the New Orleans Saints and the Kansas City Chiefs in the 70s. In addition to the aforementioned nerve damage to his arm and neck, which resulted in the atrophy of his right bicep, he was diagnosed with cancer in 2011 but confirmed later he had beaten it. Then in 2016, he was included in a class-action lawsuit filed against WWE. With it said, he was amongst wrestlers who suffered long-term neurological injuries. The lawsuit would last for years but was eventually dismissed.

Edge hasn’t wrestled for WWE since his match at WrestleMania against Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan for the Universal Championship. His absence was foreseen as he is a part-timer and only has a limited number of dates on his contract. Now though, he is being featured on local advertising material for SmackDown on July 16th and again on September 3rd. This seemingly indicates he’ll be involved in SummerSlam, which is taking place on Saturday, August 21st, 2021.

The big question now is who will face at WWE’s second-biggest event of the year, and with the belief, WWE intends for him to be a babyface, it did limit his possible opponents. Though Twitter account @WrestleVotes, who many believe is run by WWE insider, may have revealed the current idea is for him to wrestle against Seth Rollins.

Along w/ Roman Reigns vs John Cena for SummerSlam, WWE is planning on stacking the SmackDown side with another major matchup. Source says idea as of now is for a Seth Rollins vs Edge first time ever match.

@WrestleVotes

This would make sense from a storyline perspective as Rollins previously threatened to break Edge’s surgically repaired neck on Raw back in 2014 if John Cena didn’t reinstate The Authority. Initially, when it was revealed Edge would be coming out of retirement, many speculated that Rollins could be Edge’s first singles opponent based on this. However, the company opted to program him with Randy Orton instead.

Scott Hall would rise to fame in WWE as Razor Ramon but had to jump back to WCW in 1996 to earn what he felt he was worth. As part of the nWo, along with Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash, he swung the tide in WCW’s favor in their battle with WWE. Still, once WCW was no more and WWE needed a ratings boost, he would return for a second run with Vince McMahon’s company using his nWo persona in 2002.

Things wouldn’t work out for Hall during his WWE return, and he was released following the infamous Plane Ride From Hell debacle. Since then, he has battled his personal demons, and been inducted twice into the WWE Hall of Fame, and had legends contracts along the way. Now speaking to his former WCW boss Eric Bischoff on his podcast, he has revealed that thanks to his longstanding association with WWE, he still earns six figures a year, and the company treats him better now than when he was an active talent.

I mean, I’m making six figures just off merchandise, and every once and a while, when you make an appearance, you make more. The funny part is, now that I hardly ever work for them or hardly do anything, the payoffs are way better. It’s always first-class airfare, they always have a driver at the airport. When I was filling seats for them and traveling all around the world, I couldn’t get sh*t.

Scott Hall

$100,000 plus does sound a lot of money for someone no longer wrestling, especially when you consider talents only receive a small percentage of merchandise revenue. However, nWo merchandise is still abundant on WWEShop.com, with multiple t-shirts, Zubaz pants, and replica belts for sale. While money from that would be split with the other members, there is also has a Razor Ramon section for nostalgic fans. When you add in action figures and use of his likeness in video games, it seems a realistic amount, and it’s great to see wrestlers being compensated well.

Wikipedia is a valuable resource that makes obtaining information on virtually any subject just a click away. A big part of this is thanks to the ability of experts and specialists to update any topic. However, the site’s biggest positive is also its biggest hindrance as often incorrect and outright lies are written. This was the case recently when The Blue Meanie’s page was updated to say he’d passed away.

This obviously worried fans of his and promoted the popular wrestler from the initial version of ECW to take to Twitter to confirm he was still among the living.

The Blue Meanie is no longer as high profile as he was once was, but he is still alive and well. He continues to compete on the independent scene sporadically and wrestled on ROH and MLW events in 2020. Nowadays, his focus is on his Mind of the Meanie podcast, where he talks about the latest wrestling news and reflecting on ECW along with Joel Gertner on the That Was Extreme podcast.

During Monday night’s episode of Raw, Eva Marie was set to make her in-ring return for WWE. However, instead, Scottish wrestler Piper Niven, who was accompanying her, took her place and quickly defeated Namoi. The commentators pretended not to know who Niven was despite her having competed in the Mae Young Classic in 2017 and NXT UK as recently as March, with it believed it was due to her about to undergo a name change.

It has now been confirmed that WWE has applied to trademark the name “Doudrop” for Niven. What the name means has not yet been disclosed, or exact pronunciation with some fans speculating it could be due to her size and pronounced dough-drop.

The belief is Eva Marie is set to receive a big push, and thus via association, so will Niven, who has been signed with WWE since 2019. Before that, she mainly wrestled on the UK independent circuit and was part of the ill-fated ITV relaunch of World of Sport.

Former WWE Tag Team Champions The IIconics Peyton Royce and Billie Kay were among ten wrestlers released by WWE on April 15th, 2021, ending their six-year run with the company. The pair wasted no time planning their non-WWE futures by filing trademark applications on their new names. Peyton Royce, whose real name is Cassandra McIntosh applying for “Cassie Lee,” and Billie Kay, whose name is Jessica Kay, filing for “Jessie Kay.”

Now the Australian duo, who were seemingly broken up for no reason by WWE, look to set reunite once their non-compete clauses expire next month. This appears to have been validated by the pair’s company JLTM Inc applying to trademark name “The IInspiration.”

Where they intend to use the name remains to be seen. There has been speculation they could be AEW bound due to Royce being married to Shawn Spears of The Pinnacle. However, with AEW already having so many talents under contract, it isn’t a foregone conclusion.

Both Edge and Bray Wyatt were involved in highly anticipated matches at WrestleMania. Still, neither man has been seen on television since the event. Edge’s absence was foreseen as he is a part-timer now and only has a limited number of dates on his contract. Wyatt’s disappearance has been unexpected and the subject of much speculation. Some reports claim he is dealing with personal issues. In contrast, others say WWE is keeping his character off the television by design.

Now though, it’s been confirmed that both men are being advertised for upcoming shows in local promotional material. Edge is being promoted for SmackDown on July 16th and again on September 3rd, while Wyatt has been announced as The Fiend for Raw on August 9th. With SummerSlam taking place on Saturday, August 21st, 2021, this seemingly verifies both men will be involved in WWE’s second-biggest show of the year.

Currently, it isn’t known what WWE’s plans are for either man. The belief is Edge is set to return as a babyface, which would seemingly limit his opponents to King Corbin, Seth Rollins, or Sami Zayn. A WrestleMania rematch against Reigns could happen, although it’s strongly believed WWE is planning on headlining SummerSlam with Reigns vs. John Cena.

As for Wyatt, his feud with Randy Orton appeared to conclude at WrestleMania, meaning he also needs a fresh opponent. With his ability to work as either a face or heel, he could face virtually anyone on the Raw roster. Alternatively, he may get involved in whatever program Alexa Bliss is working at the time.

Having spent the majority of 2019 incarcerated, fans of Sunny had hoped she would be able to turn her life around when released in 2020. Sadly this wasn’t the case, as she was arrested again on July 13, 2020, while still on parole. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle during a second license suspension eluding a police officer and violating a domestic violence restraining order. This resulted in being incarcerated at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in New Jersey until June 9, 2021.

The former most downloaded celebrity on the internet and WWE Hall of Famer is a free woman, and now she has issued a statement addressing the current status and plans. She’d explain that her last arrest was based on “misunderstandings,” and she is now focused on caring for her mother before making decisions on her career.

To my fans and the pro wrestling community:

I am happy to be finished with my sentence and I am anxious to start the next chapter of my life. I am healthy and happy and feel great.

The incident which led to this last incarceration stemmed from some major misunderstandings. However I accept responsibility and have used this time to make a better me and put my past mistakes behind me. I have now served my sentence for the PA and NJ issues and will focus on the future.

I am focused at present on caring for my mother who is in a nursing home and spending time with her. I will take a couple months this summer and decide what my next steps are professionally and make decisions about where I’d like to live and work.

I want to thank my sister Lori and my mom for their wonderful support. I want to thank my fans and friends who have always supported me no matter what. James, for getting me through these last four months. I don’t know what I would do without you. I love you all. And I would like to thank my legal team of David Sebelin in PA, John Flynn in NJ and of course Stephen P New, my attorney and friend.

God gives his toughest battles to his strongest warriors, and I will bounce back better than ever before. I am the Taminator. I’ll be back.

Peace, Love and Sunshine,

Tamara

Sunny

While Sunny’s reputation has been severely harmed over the last few years due to her run-ins with the law and controversial comments made on social media, she remains popular with a section of fans who remember her from her heyday. This was evident from before her last imprisonment as she was supposedly making over $100,000 a month from subscribers on a popular adult website.

Six months ago, a video aired on Dynamite showing Brandi and Cody Rhodes receiving a gift box. Upon opening, it contained a pair of baby shoes and a wooden ornament revealing the news. The couple would kiss, and the camera cut to one of their dogs, Pharaoh, who was wearing a “Baby Security In Training” bandana.

Now just a few days on from Jon Moxley’s wife Renee Paquette gave birth to a baby daughter, Brandi has done the same. Cody announced this on his Instagram account, where he would reveal his 6lbs 12oz daughter named Liberty Iris had been welcomed into the world.

6lbs 12oz – Liberty Iris Runnels – Mother & Daughter are doing wonderfulCody Rhodes

The couple met while working for WWE and were married in September 2013. Cody has since credited Brandi as the person who helped him find his backbone to quit WWE, where he was competing as Stardust. Since then, both traveled the world wrestling and have been involved in building AEW from the ground up.

Jon Huber, known better to wrestling fans as Brodie Lee and Luke Harper, tragically passed away last December, aged just 41. He left behind a wife and two sons, with his eldest Brodie Lee Jr., since becoming a regular on AEW television under the name Negative 1. Furthermore, he currently has a full-time AEW wrestling contract waiting for him once he turns 18.

Now speaking on the latest edition of the AEW Unrestricted Podcast recorded at Double or Nothing’s Fan Fest last month, he talked about his intention to become a second-generation wrestler.

There is zero percent chance I’m going to be anything else but a professional wrestler. I have been doing wrestling since I was one. I’ve watched wrestling since I was like one. I’ve done it, and I’m going to do it because my dad did it.

Brodie Lee Jr.

Brodie Jr does still have almost a decade to wait until he can officially wrestle for the promotion. However, as the Dark Order leader, the stable his father led, he’ll likely remain on television for the foreseeable future. This will allow him to learn the business far better than anyone else his age and help set him up for a successful career like his famous father before him.

Sheamus hasn’t had the best luck of late. He recently suffered a broken nose in a match against Humberto Carrillo and has now revealed on Twitter he was among the victims of a recent locker room theft at the ThunderDome.

The crime took place during the early hours of May 22nd, and among the items stolen was Sheamus’ famous Celtic cross. While the pendant’s value hasn’t been publicly revealed, it’s likely very sentimental to The Celtic Warrior, who has offered ringside seats and beers for any online detectives that can help him track it down.

If you happen to know the fella responsible (see images), you are asked to contact the University of South Florida Police Department on 813-974-2628.
