During Raw, 24-year old Elisah Spencer jumped Seth Rollins as he walked down the aisle following his segment. WWE quickly cut to a video replay to avoid showing the disturbance, although it was filmed by fans in attendance at the Barclays Center and promptly shared on social media. Thankfully Rollins was unharmed and didn’t need medical assistance, though it was a scary moment and showed how quickly a situation could get out of hand.

Evidently, Spencer was catfished by someone pretending to be Rollins and scammed out of money back in 2019. Seemingly still believing this was the real Rollins, he was out for revenge.
This is very perplexing and disturbing that someone could believe a WWE superstar would genuinely be responsible for a scam like this. Following Raw, Spencer ended up charged with attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs, and it’s now understood he will now attend court next. Exactly what punishment he will receive remains to be seen, although WWE has stated they intend for him to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Raw saw an extremely scary moment take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn when a fan attacked Seth Rollins as he was walking down the aisle. Thankfully Rollins was unhurt as the fan was dragged off him and subsequently arrested. However, while most of those watching condemned the incident and believed it was handled well, seemingly former WWE star Chavo Guerrero Jr. wasn’t impressed with how Rollins dealt with the situation. He made this known in a tweet indicating wrestlers today aren’t as tough as those from the past, seemingly either implying Rollins should have beaten up the fan.
There are plenty of entertaining stories from the territory days of wrestlers handing out their own form of justice when fans got physical with talents, with it even said police would turn a blind eye. Thankfully, though, reports of fans attacking wrestlers are mostly a thing of the past, with most fans understanding that wrestlers are portraying characters. That said, you do have to wonder whether the fan would even contemplate his attack had it been Brock Lesnar, Jake Hager, or Bobby Lashley.
Following a segment between Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor on Raw, a so-called fan would jump Rollins as he walked back down the aisle. The attack was only shown briefly on screen as WWE would cut away to a replay. However, a fan in attendance would capture the scary incident on their phone and share it on social media. This can be viewed below.

Later, it would be reported that a 24-year old individual named Elisah Spencer had been charged with attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs.
WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
WWE via @marc_raimondiThis isn’t the first time there has been a disturbance like this at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. As back in April 2019, Bret Hart was attacked by a fan during his Hart Foundation WWE Hall of Fame speech. Hart was able to conclude his speech, but it was a worrying situation, and it’s concerning that something so similar can occur again two years on.
Bully Ray and Velvet Sky have been a high-profile wrestling couple since May 2016. Sadly, the former TNA Knockout has announced to her Twitter followers that the pair are no longer in a relationship noting it would be the only public comment. She would, though, confirm they had no animosity towards each other and wished each other well.
40-year-old Sky and 50-year-old Bully Ray would begin dating while she was working for TNA, and he was in WWE wrestling as Bubba Ray Dudley. They’d go on work together in Ring of Honor, with Ray making headlines after he had security take a fan backstage to see to him for heckling Sky. This resulted in ROH carrying out an internal investigation, and Ray would say he spoke to the individual for 30 seconds and told them to just be a fan.
The Survivor Series was built around the 25th anniversary of The Rock’s WWE debut. However, instead of The Rock appearing, disappointing fans would see an angle based around a prop from his newest movie Red Notice. In the angle, Vince McMahon would arrive at the arena in a limo clutching a golden egg, which was apparently worth $100 million. Predictably the egg would go missing, and now McMahon looks set to find the culprit on Raw.
To say it is an odd storyline would be an understatement, and many fans have wondered why WWE would waste so much tie on something that will inevitably lead to nothing. Now though, PWInsider has reported that WWE has written the bizarre storyline because Netflix is paying them very well to promote the movie.
The Vince McMahon missing egg story is 100% a Netflix paid promotional partnership to push “Red Notice.” That storyline is expected to wrap up tonight, having made the company quite a nice payday.
PWInsiderWWE has established a relationship with Netflix in recent years, working with the streaming service on The Big Show Show and The Main Event, with a Vince McMahon documentary set for the future. This also isn’t the first time WWE has worked with Netflix to promote one of their original movies. As earlier this year, zombies would be featured in match between The Miz and Damian Priest to promote the movie Army of the Dead, which starred Batista. Seemingly showing that potentially any Netflix movie featuring a former WWE star could now be incorporated into WWE television if the price is right.
The AAA Mega Championship is the top title in Mexico’s AAA promotion and has been held since October 19, 2019, by Kenny Omega. However, with Omega being banged up and set to undergo multiple surgeries, it has been announced the title has been vacated. At this time, what they plan to do to find a new champion hasn’t been revealed, although El Hijo del Vikingo, who has wrestled for Impact Wrestling, remains the #1 contender.
Following the announcement, AAA would share an Omega promo video that sees him acknowledging the company’s decision but stating they could have postponed his title defense. Then in character, he would declare he would be returning to the promotion when recovered to become a two-time champion and the greatest luchador ever.
[adthrive-in-post-video-player video-id=”0UpFS7b6″ upload-date=”2021-11-22T21:12:37.000Z” name=”Kenny Omega’s Message To AAA Fans” description=”” player-type=”default” override-embed=”default”]Omega’s run as champion wasn’t what many had hoped due to travel restrictions and his AEW commitments severely limiting how many appearances he could make for AAA, with at one point there being an eight-month gap between title defenses. Most likely, his run will be best remembered for his final defense, which took place in August when he defeated Andrade, who was accompanied by Ric Flair, with the WCW legend getting physical in the ring for the first time for several years.
At the time, Andrade was set to win the AAA Mega Championship. However, plans reportedly changed due to AEW not wanting Omega losing two high profiles matches so closely together, with Christian having defeated Omega for the Impact World Championship the day prior. In hindsight, it seems it would have been best for AAA to have had the title change hands as planned, although as there was no contract with Andrade, there could have been potential issues there.
An episode of SmackDown this past September paid tribute to those who lost their lives on 9/11, which took place twenty years ago. This was a very special event for Zelina Vega as her father, Michael, was one of those who died due to working in the North Tower. Before the event, she would deem the show “one of the most important days of my career,” not only because of the anniversary, but also the event being held at MSG where her father would take her to watch shows as a child. Sadly for Vega, SmackDown would run long, and WWE decided to cut her match, resulting in fans across social media expressing their displeasure with the company.
At the time, Vega didn’t comment, although she did go on to tweet out a photo of her specially made ring gear with the caption “nevermind.” Now though, she has publicly spoken about that night and revealed in an interview that Vince McMahon phoned her to apologize, which will likely come as a surprise to many.
A lot of people were really upset, but I felt like a lot of the anger was misguided, I was disappointed, but I also knew it wasn’t a personal thing. If you knew, and obviously a lot of the fans don’t know that the show goes in an order, the way that it went timewise, it got too close and they had to cut it.
When it got cut, Vince called me and apologized because he wanted to make sure that I knew “listen, this wasn’t done to you personally or anything, it was literally just the time, I had to make that call and I’m so sorry.” And people don’t know that side either.
Zelina VegaVega is currently in her second spell with WWE after previously being fired for breaking their rules regarding making third-party deals. Due to her father, her dream had always been to wrestle for McMahon’s promotion, and except for when she was signed with TNA, she tried out for the company every year after becoming a wrestler in 2010. She eventually got her opportunity to wrestle in a WWE ring in 2016, facing then NXT Women’s Champion Asuka on a 2016 episode of NXT. Nine months later, she was offered a WWE contract and took on the name Zelina Vega.
WWE’s annual Survivor Series event took place on Sunday evening, and the show had been built up as the 25th Anniversary of The Rock’s debut. While at no point did WWE declare The Rock would be in attendance, it was firmly believed by many he would make an appearance. However, if you watched the show or read the results, you’ll know his presence wouldn’t electrify those in attendance, and many fans were left tweeting their disappointment resulting in him trending.
Some fans are still hoping The Rock may appear during Raw, although that won’t be happening as he is filming a movie, and current restrictions always made him appearing for WWE impossible. Therefore why WWE went so heavy on hyping up The Rock isn’t clear. Although the obvious speculation is that it was simply done to attract viewers to Survivor Series while receiving payment from Netflix to promote The Rock’s latest movie Red Notice.
The belief is WWE intends to headline WrestleMania 39, which is being marked as WrestleMania Hollywood with The Rock vs. Roman Reigns. Therefore the Hollywood star will likely return to WWE television within the next 15 months to begin building the match. In the meantime, though, fans will have to make do with his movies for their fix.
On September 8th, WWE revealed that Triple H had undergone a heart procedure after suffering what was described as a cardiac event. This is typically another way to say heart attack, and WWE’s official statement stated a genetic issue caused it. Since then, it is understood talents have been allowed to speak with him to wish him well but told not to talk business. However, it appears he has recently returned to work and was filmed by TikTok user @danielledesma410 taking a tour of WWE’s new company headquarters, which is currently under construction.
[adthrive-in-post-video-player video-id=”mJJsIQHC” upload-date=”2021-11-20T22:41:54.000Z” name=”WWE Tour Of New Site” description=”” player-type=”default” override-embed=”default”]While the video clip is short, Triple H appears to be looking in good health and is back involved in WWE business. Whether though he is back working on NXT isn’t yet known, as Shawn Michaels has been running recent shows. There are also questions regarding his legendary wrestling career, which could be over, due to WWE’s rigorous medical protocols meaning getting cleared could now be challenging.
Impact Wrestling is set to hold their Turning Point event this Saturday, with W. Morrissey, best known as Big Cass, booked to face Matt Cardona. However, Fightful Select has reported that Morrissey’s contract expired at the end of October, and he hasn’t been spotted at the latest set of Impact Wrestling tapings.
W. Morrissey, the former Big Cass, noted during a recent interview that his deal with IMPACT Wrestling was up at the end of October and he was hoping to remain there. However, as of Friday, those that we spoke to had stated that they didn’t see him at this set of tapings, which is set to carry IMPACT through the end of the year.
Fightful SelectRight now, it isn’t known whether the match will occur, as while Big Cass was in town yesterday for an autograph signing, his match hasn’t been promoted as of yet by Impact Wrestling on their Twitter feed. A last-minute deal can possibly be arranged, though, even if it is just for one final match before he finds a new home promotion.
Impact Wrestling took a chance of Morrissey after he took an 18-month hiatus from the business due to mental health issues and an alcohol addiction. He’d go on to make his debut at their Rebellion pay-per-view under the name where he was a surprise replacement for Eric Young in an eight-man tag match. Since then, he has featured in several high-profile matches and holds wins over Rich Swann, Eddie Edwards, and Willie Mack.
It recently became known that Johnny Gargano’s WWE contract was set to expire before the end of 2021, and with him having removed “WWE NXT Wrestler” from his Twitter bio, many thought his time with the company was coming to an end. However, in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it has been reported WWE is keen to keep him and has made what was described as a “very strong offer.”
QUOTE
Johnny Gargano has not signed a new contract, but WWE is pushing very hard for him to do so and evidently made a very strong offer for him to stay here for a long time. His deal is up 12/3.
Dave MeltzerGargano now has a big career decision to make, as while he has been underutilized and would be in high demand outside WWE, his wife Candice LeRae is due to give birth in February. So given that, it is likely the pay increase and not having to hustle for bookings would work in WWE’s favor.
The fact WWE is so keen on re-signing him is actually somewhat unexpected due to him being in his mid 30’s and the company currently being so eager to reduce costs. Although it is conceivable that they don’t want to see another talent leave on their own terms as Adam Cole did. Alternatively, it could be that the dark match that Gargano wrestled before a recent SmackDown taping impressed management significantly enough they now want to invest in him long-term.
This year WWE has released over 75 wrestlers, and based on the names let go, it seems very few talents are safe. This past Thursday night, the news would break of more releases, and among them was John Morrison, who had recently become a WWE Main Event regular. Not long after this was reported, Taya Valkyrie, the wife of Morrison, who herself was recently let go by the company, would post a series of tweets condemning the company. Specifically, saying fans should support other companies from now on as the WWE doesn’t care about the wrestlers or fans.
All these releases have resulted in WWE losing a lot of goodwill with fans who are sick of seeing their favorites let go while the company makes record profits. It also makes it hard for fans to get behind talents when they seemingly can be gone in an instant, which is evident with Hit Row’s release. However, whether fans migrate to supporting the promotions or just stop watching WWE altogether remains to be seen.
