This past week, the big story on social media has been the persistent abuse allegations made by Kimber Lee against her husband, Nash Carter. And while it was a terrible situation being played out in public, things went up a level after Carter began divorce proceedings. This is because Kimber opted to tweet out a private photo of her estranged husband imitating Adolf Hitler.

Ultimately, all of this has led to the 27-year-old’s WWE release despite him currently being one-half of the NXT Tag Team Champions. However, according to Dave Meltzer on his Wrestling Observer Radio show, the abuse allegations didn’t actually play a part in his release.

This is a really weird situation because he was fired for the Hitler picture. The other allegations is not what he was fired for.

Dave Meltzer

You have to understand Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon had allegations against him multiple times over the years. So, if he is to believe that Carter is innocent, then he has to presume that other people that claims are made may be innocent. So he’s not a guy who is gonna fire everybody the minute somebody says something.

Dave Meltzer

Nash has yet to offer up any sort of explanation for the photo, which is believed to be several years old. However, given how offensive the gesture is, it’s unlikely any reason will be adequate. What this now means for his wrestling career remains to be seen. But, given his NXT contract has a 30-day non-compete clause, he won’t be able to begin the next stage of his career until next month if he can find a promotion willing to book him.

WWE was planning on having Lacey Evans face Charlott Flair take place at WrestleMania 37 and initiated a storyline involving Ric Flair dating Evans. Although, after she announced her pregnancy, WWE would scrap the angle, despite at one stage attempting to portray Ric as the father. Now though, having given birth to her second daughter, it appears she is set to make her WWE, with PWInsider reporting she is set to be at this week’s SmackDown. It should, though, be noted this doesn’t automatically mean she will make her return on the show, as she could be attending to discuss future plans.

Lacey Evans, who took time off from WWE back in 2021 in advance of having her second daughter, is slated to return to WWE shortly, PWInsider.com has confirmed. Evans is scheduled to be at tomorrow’s Friday Night Smackdown taping in Milwaukee.

PWinsider.com

After several years as part of the military, in 2014, Evans began training at a local wrestling school in Georgia. She would go on to sign with WWE in 2016 and, for the next two years, would prepare and mostly wrestle on NXT house shows. Then in 2018, she’d adopt her current gimmick, establishing herself as one of the top heels in WWE’s women’s division. It was believed she was set to win the Raw Women’s Championship from Asuka at Elimination Chamber. However, following the news of her pregnancy, that plan was scrapped. Given that, it will be interesting to see WWE again position her as a top contender upon her return.

Alexa Bliss last wrestled at February’s Elimination Chamber event, and while she did previously tell fans to be patient and let things play out, a report by PWInsider has again caused concerns. This is because they have informed their readers she wasn’t in Dallas over WrestleMania weekend, which is uncommon since the entire roster typically attends. However, while Bliss was not there in person, WWE still cashed in on her name as fans at Axxess revealed they were charged $15 to have a photo taken with a cardboard cutout of the star.

There haven’t been any reports that Bliss has heat within the company, so why she’s seemingly been overlooked remains a mystery. And while some argue she is preparing for her upcoming wedding, it would be very unusual for WWE to give someone this much time off, and she was still being brought to television tapings before WrestleMania. Nevertheless, it is known that she moves a lot of merchandise, and the fact that fans queued to have a photo taken with her cutout should ensure she keeps her job for the time being.

Last week Impact Wrestling’s Kimber Lee took to Twitter making weighty allegations about her husband, Nash Carter of NXT. Yet, she would later delete them and say they were continuing their marriage and having therapy. However, after receiving divorce papers on Monday, Kimbler would tweet out photos of herself with a fat lip, alleging it was previously caused by a drunken Carter. Then seemingly wanting to disgrace Carter further, she’d share a photo of him doing an offensive salute, having shaved a toothbrush mustache.

As of writing, Carter has not commented on the accusations, although the wife of his NXT tag partner Wes Lee has posted multiple tweets defending him. She’d argue that Carter was the victim and had been staying with them to avoid Kimber’s mental abuse. Now, though, with the situation having played out in public, WWE has decided to release Carter. This is despite Wes Lee and him winning the NXT Tag Team Championships at this past weekend’s NXT Stand & Deliver.

27-year-old Carter became known to wrestling fans under the name Zachary Wentz, wrestling for Impact Wrestling between 2018 and 2020. Subsequently, he and longtime tag Parter Wes Lee would sign with WWE when their contracts expired, debuting in the 2021 Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Ultimately winning the entire tournament and propelling themselves to the top of NXT’s tag team division.

Tammy Sytch, best known to wrestling fans as Sunny, has already been arrested twice in 2022 and is now facing criminal charges after failing to stop and crashing into a vehicle. Reportedly three cars were involved in total, and tragically a man died in the incident that took place on Friday, March 25. As of writing, toxicology results are outstanding to determine if she was intoxicated at the time. Thankfully the people in the third vehicle did not need hospital treatment; however, Sytch did.

Tamara Lynn Sytch, known by her ring name “Sunny,” failed to stop around 8:28 p.m. while driving southbound on U.S. 1 just north of Granada Boulevard and crashed into a stopped vehicle, which then crashed into the vehicle in front of it. The driver of the vehicle hit by Sytch, identified as Julian Lafrancis Lasseter of Daytona Beach Shores, was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Ormondbeach Observer

Sytch’s life has been full of legal issues in recent years, with the WWE Hall of Famer incarcerated for most of 2019. Then following her release, she would again be arrested in July 2020 while still on parole for operating a vehicle with a suspended license and violating a restraining order. This resulted in her being detained again until June 2021. At his point, fans hoped she would be able to turn her life around. Still, the 49-year-old was again arrested in January 2022 for making threats while possessing a weapon. Then in February, she was charged with multiple offenses, including driving a vehicle under the influence of liquor or drugs.

Last week Kimber Lee of Impact Wrestling made allegations of abuse against her husband and current NXT Tag Champion Nash Carter. Yet, she would later delete them and say they were continuing their marriage and undergoing therapy. However, on Monday night, she would tweet out photos of herself with a fat lip, which she claimed came from a past incident when Carter was drunk.

Now, though, the wife of Carter’s tag team partner Wes Lee has taken to Twitter herself to defend her husband’s tag partner. She would do this by disputing Kimber’s allegations and revealing that Carter has been staying with them due to her mental abuse.

To say this is a messy situation would be an understatement, and given the conflicting narratives on social media, determining the truth seems unlikely. Nevertheless, with the story having now blown up, it’s doubtful WWE can ignore it, and it’ll be interesting to see whether Carter appears on this week’s episode of NXT.

Prior to his AEW departure, there had been rumors that Cody Rhodes had fallen out with The Young Bucks. While this was never verified, following his WrestleMania return, Rhodes would tweet saying wrestling is a love story, and that seemingly promoted the brothers would take a shot at him. Now following Raw going off-air, Rhodes would wrestle Kevin Owens in the non-televised main event, and the Canadian would use this as an opportunity to mock Rhodes by doing the Bucks’ trademark pose.

It’s well known that the Bucks and Owens are good friends, having worked together before becoming stars. Therefore, this likely prompted Owens to have some good-natured fun at Rhodes’ expense. Plus, given it was a dark match, it’s doubtful anyone in WWE management would care. However, the Bucks were clearly alerted to this as they’d update their Twitter bio to say “Whaddup Kev.

The match between Rhodes and Owens itself was well-received, if a little short. With fans in attendance reporting, it lasted just six minutes. Although, in quite a surprise, The Rock’s mother, Ata Johnson, was ringside and would get involved by holding Owens for Rhodes to deliver a chop before hugging her. Cody would then go on to win with a CrossRhodes, and therefore send fans home happy while getting the last laugh over Owens.

This past weekend, Edge defeated AJ Styles at WrestleMania thanks to Damian Priest distracting the former TNA star, then, during Raw, the official alliance of Edge and Priest would be formed. Subsequently, the WWE on Fox’s Twitter account would ask fans to offer their suggestion of a name. This tweet would catch the attention of AEW’s Brody King, who’d take a shot at the pair by saying they were a cheap knockoff version of The House of Black.

The tweet wouldn’t go over well with all fans, as even if the AEW faction inspired Edge and Priest, Edge is so loved and respected that many fans won’t hear a word against him. And while it is easy to see how King can identify a little of The House of Black in the duo, a sinister cult-like faction is hardly an original idea in wrestling. Additionally, the combination is only days old, and more members will need to be added before it becomes transparent whether the AEW stable was part of the group’s inspiration.

Last week Kimber Lee of Impact Wrestling accused her husband and Nash Carter of NXT of unspecified abuse. Yet, she would later follow up by tweeting out they were continuing their marriage and were going to undergo therapy together. Seemingly though, reconciliation hasn’t gone to plan as Lee has since shared photos showing a fat lip that she claims were taken after Carter got inebriated and struck her. She’d then go on to say she had been lied to, and that is why she had initially backed out.

While this is already a dire situation for all involved, with photos now shared, it has gone up to a level where WWE will need to at least investigate and potentially comment. Though this could be very embarrassing for the company if Carter is found guilty because after the initial allegations were made, they still had Carter and his longtime partner Wes Lee win the NXT Tag Team Championships at NXT: Stand & Deliver. However, regardless of what action WWE takes, Carter looks set to be labeled a domestic abuser, which will follow him for the rest of his life.

Elias’ last match for WWE took place back in July 2021 when he lost a Symphony of Destruction match to Jaxson Ryker. Then the following month, vignettes would air where Elias torched his guitar, seemingly to end his musician character. Since then, fans have been waiting to see his new character debut. Yet, there had been very little news, and every time a new batch of talents was released by the company, his name was always speculated.

Finally, though, Elias has returned to television during the post-WrestleMania episode of Raw, having shaved off his beard. However, he is no longer playing Elias but is now performing as his younger brother Ezekiel. Seemingly WWE realizes this is absurd, and Kevin Owens would call him out on this, but Ezekiel remained adamant he wasn’t pretending. Later, he took to Twitter, still in character, and said he was taking over his elder brother’s account.

Former WWE writer Vince Russo has previously divulged that he had been in contract with Elias and revealed he wasn’t very popular with the creative team. This was because he would regularly email them ideas for his character, which is frowned upon. So given this, it will be interesting to discover whether Elias was behind the bizarre gimmick or the company came up with it as some form of punishment. Yet, in the past, characters that initially appeared to have no potential have gotten over, and if given proper storylines, perhaps Elias can get Ezekiel over.

It was previously reported that Vince McMahon was set to compete at WrestleMania 38 in a match against Pat McAfee. Yet, it appeared plans had changed when Austin Theory was announced as the commentator’s opponent. However, following McAfee’s victory over Theory, McMahon would indeed get in the ring and have an impromptu match with McAfee, which he surprisingly won thanks to assistance from Theory. Things, though, would quickly go downhill when Steve Austin joined McMahon and Theory in the ring to dish out Stunners, with McMahon’s sell job destined to go down in history for how awful it looked.

Seemingly McMahon’s legs gave way, and even though Michael Cole tried to cover the botch by saying he was trying to escape, it was evident to everyone watching. Subsequently, videos and gifs of the screw-up would quickly begin circulating on social. But, the one that is proving to be very popular with fans was an upload titled “My son recorded my reaction to the world’s worst stunner. Enjoy!” from Mick Foley, which his son filmed, showing the WWE Hall of Famer laughing his ass off.

McMahon has taken some awful Stunners over the years, yet this will go down as the poorest of them all. The moment though was saved by Austin’s reaction with him cracking up, clearly knowing it was terrible and not caring. Hopefully, though, it was his last, as with Vince now aged 76, his selling isn’t going to improve.

Cody Rhodes made his WWE return at WrestleMania 38, and shortly after his match with Seth Rollins, he took Twitter to tweet out, “Wrestling is a love story.” This appears to have caught the attention of his long-time associates, The Young Bucks, who would update their Twitter bio to seemingly take aim at their former AEW colleague.

Rhodes became friends with The Young Bucks when New Japan wanted him as part of their BC stable. And along with Kenny Omega and Adam Page, they agreed to stick together when they entered free agency, which played a massive part in the formation of AEW. However, not after the company’s launch rumors spread that there was a falling out. Yet this was never confirmed. Now though, given this shot by the Bucks, it does make you wonder if there was any truth to the stories.
