Grammy-Award winning rockers Turnstile have made headlines as of late for the wrong reasons. Earlier this year the group took home the best Metal Performance Grammy for their song “Birds,” and they also garnered Best Rock Album honors for their latest release “Never Enough.”

This week however, the band’s former guitarist Brady Ebert was charged with second degree attempted murder and first degree assault for allegedly striking singer Brandan Yates’ father with a vehicle. Ebert was arrested after it was said that he struck 79-year-old William Yates with his car in the driveway of Yates’ home. Ebert allegedly arrived at Yates’ address honking his horn and screaming obscenities before the incident took place. 

Turnstile issued a statement following the news saying: “Turnstile cut ties with Brady Ebert in 2022 in response to a consistent pattern of harmful behavior affecting himself, the band, and the community. After exhausting every available resource to support his access to help and recovery, a boundary ultimately had to be set when healthy communication was no longer possible and he began threatening violence.”

The statement continued: “In the years since, his baseless tirades have continued in public. We never addressed it. We chose to protect his privacy and the circumstances around his departure, even when he did nothing to be deserving of that protection. Over the past few months, his threats only escalated further. This past week, that violence led to a physical attack when Brady went to the house of Brendan’s parents and used his vehicle to run over Brendan’s father, causing severe physical trauma. We are grateful that Mr. Yates survived, has successfully undergone surgery, and we’re hoping for the best possible outcome in his recovery. We have no language left for Brady. Please respect our privacy in this time.”

In a brand-new interview with Chris Van Vliet, Drew McIntyre has openly expressed his desire for a dream WWE matchup against SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, highlighting the chemistry they share during heated mic exchanges. The longtime friends, who have known each other since their younger days on the British indie scene, have rarely wrestled each other professionally, despite both working for TNA and WWE at the same time, so this would be a fresh matchup for both men. Whether McIntrye was officially planting the seeds for a future match or simply sharing his own personal feelings is unclear, but it would certainly be a big match for fans in the UK.

“I can feel it when I’m out there with him. Whenever we go back and forth on the microphone, I can feel the people starting to get into it … every time we go back and forth on the mic, you can feel the tension, you can cut it with a knife. We’ve known each other a long time … So when the time is right, be it Mania, be it after Mania, I think we should have a match. And I don’t think there should be any sanctioning around it. I don’t think anyone should be allowed to interfere. You know, he tapes up the fists. He’s not been in the ring a long time. He thinks he can go with a four-time former World Champion in WWE in the big leagues.” – Drew McIntyre

39-year-old Aldis is currently an authority figure, having initially signed with WWE as a producer. Debuting in 2004, he gained prominence in TNA as Magnus from 2008 to 2015, capturing the TNA World Heavyweight Championship once and becoming the first British-born world champion in company history, as well as multiple tag team titles. He later dominated the NWA, winning the Worlds Heavyweight Championship twice before joining WWE. And while he hasn’t wrestled since 2023, he isn’t believed to be retired from the ring, so a match with McIntyre is possible, and maybe even likely.

In a new court filing dated April 1, 2026, Janel Grant alleges that Vince McMahon told her he had privately disclosed the sexual nature of their relationship to WWE President Nick Khan and former COO Brad Blum in March 2021. According to Grant’s declaration, McMahon claimed the executives voiced concerns and questioned her trustworthiness. Still, he offered assurances about her loyalty and character, stating she would “sooner jump off the balcony than hurt anyone.” He reportedly told her that Khan and Blum ultimately became supportive.

“Vince then informed me that he had spoken privately with Nick Khan and Brad Blum during which he formally disclosed the sexual nature of his relationship with me, he said they expressed concern and one questioned whether I could be trusted. Vince told me he provided them with assurances about my loyalty, character, that I would never do something to hurt WWE, and that I would sooner jump off the balcony than hurt anyone. He told me that, with these assurances, Nick and Brad were ultimately supportive.” – Janel Grant

Grant filed a federal lawsuit in January 2024 against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE, alleging grooming, sexual assault, battery, and sex trafficking during her employment from 2019 to 2022. She claims McMahon exploited her vulnerability with job promises and coerced her into degrading acts, including sharing her with others. Grant, therefore, seeks to void a $3 million NDA signed under alleged duress in 2022. An amended complaint in 2025 added evidence from messages. The case now centers on whether it proceeds in court or in arbitration.

Lindsey Buckingham is a guitar legend and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer having been inducted with Fleetwood Mac back in 1998. Buckingham, sadly experienced a confrontation with a stalker late last month. KTLA has reported that a 54-year-old woman accused of stalking Buckingham doused him with an unknown substance and fled during a recent interaction. 

The Grammy-Award winning guitarist wasn’t injured, but according to KTLA: “The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to KTLA that an attack occurred in Santa Monica and said its Threat Management Unit is working with the Santa Monica Police Department to investigate the incident.”

The accused stalker is Michelle Dick, and Buckingham had a restraining order against her after years of alleged harassment. Court documents claim she sent messages to Buckingham’s wife on her phone saying she was going to kill them.

Dick also spoke to KTLA: “One time, that was last year,” she said when asked about allegations that she showed up outside Buckingham’s home. “But I didn’t know I had a restraining order on me. He wasn’t a father to me but he’s my birth father.”

Dick also said she has been living in her car and hasn’t been arrested yet. 

Longtime Alice Cooper guitarist Nita Strauss announced earlier this year that she would be taking time off from the band as she and her husband welcome their first child. Her temporary departure has left a hole in Cooper’s lineup, and the shock rocker had previously filled her spot with former guitarist Kane Roberts when Strauss took an opportunity to tour as guitarist for Demi Lovato. 

This time, however, Cooper has recruited new blood in 22-year-old Newcaste native Anna Cara. She has previously played with Cooper’s guitarist, Tommy Henriksen, who is also a member of Cooper’s side project, The Hollywood Vampires, and with Krokus’ Marc Storace. Cara was set to make her debut Thursday, April 2 at a show in Las Vegas.

“Nita found a brilliant British female guitarist to fill in for her while she is on maternity leave,” Cooper said in a press release announcing Cara as his new guitarist. “Anna Cara is a beautiful, dynamic shredder in the vein of Nita but with a style of her own. She will fit in with our gang perfectly while Nita is away, and we can’t wait for the sick things to meet her. Welcome to the show, Anna!”

Strauss also gave her stamp of approval saying: “Working with Alice for 12 years has been the experience of a lifetime, and I look forward to seeing you all back on the road. Until that time comes, I know that the show is in good hands and the fans are in for a treat.”

Cara herself said: “This is like a dream come true, to join Alice and his great band. Back when I started playing guitar at 14, I was watching Alice Cooper live shows on YouTube, dreaming of joining one day. Nita Strauss is a tough act to follow, and she’s been so encouraging to me this past month, so I am looking forward to showing everyone who I am and what I can do.”

Former Hole frontwoman Courtney Love has long been friends with Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan, and she recently appeared on Corgan’s “The Magnificent Others” podcast. It’s been reported for decades that Love and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl have beef with one another over a variety of issues centered around the legacy of Grohl’s former band, rock legends Nirvana. 

Love, who was famously married to Nirvana icon Kurt Cobain, has previously filed lawsuits to control the rights to Nirvana’s music. According to Love, however, it’s a public misconception that the pair are still feuding, and she called out Grohl to make a public declaration that their issues have been squashed. “Like, come out with it and just say we’re cool. Like, come out with it. Right? Be man enough to man up.”

She continued: “We’re cool, but you won’t say it because you’re afraid you’ll lose your audience? Dave. It would really behoove me if the straight white males that are your base, if you will, stop picking on me. Millennials in particular. Gen Z is not picking on me anymore.”

Corgan responded saying: “I can confirm that I’ve spent time with you and Dave together and Dave doesn’t have any issue with you.”

During a new interview with Dominic DeAngelo of Studio 1 Sports, WWE legend Bret Hart revealed that he refused to take Scott Hall’s Razor’s Edge finisher during their time in WWE and WCW in the 90s. According to Hart, he found the move “too dangerous,” despite Hall’s attempts to assure him that he was performing it safely. As Hall rarely beat Hart in their matches, it appears this was never a significant booking issue, with the nWo co-founder picking up singles victories via DQ or on an untitled house show.

“His finish where he would do that, what we call the Razor’s Edge, and he would pick you up and drop you on your head, I remember I go, nobody is doing that to me, ever. I don’t care. And I would stand by that today. He goes, “Oh, don’t worry, I’ll set you down. I’m like, not on my fing head you’re not. No way. There’s no fing way. You’re 6’6 or something. You’re gonna fall backward with me. The first thing that hits the ground is my head and my upper back. I said this doesn’t make any sense. It’s too dangerous, too stupid of a move for me to do. Hart’s safety philosophy in professional wrestling prioritizes protecting himself and his opponents by avoiding moves that pose unnecessary risk of serious injury. Hart viewed some high-impact maneuvers as illogical and potentially career-ending, choosing instead to focus on crisp, believable execution that entertained audiences without causing real harm. This approach earned him a reputation as one of the safest workers in the business, yet his own career would end following a concussion suffered during a match with Goldberg.

Not for the first time, Bill Goldberg has expressed his displeasure over WWE cutting his retirement speech short. This time, Goldberg would discuss it with a fan who had filmed their conversation during a meet-and-greet, asking how he felt about the situation; he replied, “It shows what disrespect they have for me.” Additionally, the fan would ask whether he believed Triple H was responsible, and Goldberg would simply respond, “Probably.”

Goldberg wrestled his final match on July 12, 2025, at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, facing then-World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The Wcw legend delivered a surprisingly competitive 14-minute performance despite being injured, showcasing his trademark power and intensity one last time. Still, Gunther ultimately prevailed, retaining his title as Goldberg passed out in the ring. The icon then delivered an emotional farewell speech, but due to timing issues, it was partially cut off from the live broadcast.

After almost a year off AEW television, Chris Jericho made his unadvertised return to the promotion during this week’s episode of Dynamite, taking place in his hometown of Winnipeg. The wrestling legend entered to a roaring crowd wearing one of his trademark flamboyant jackets, and after soaking in the applause, he declared, “Winnipeg… I’m home.” What’s next for the AEW original is unknown, but he appears to be fully All Elite for the foreseeable future.

Jericho joined AEW at its 2019 launch, instantly becoming one of the faces of the new promotion. From there, he became the promotion’s inaugural AEW World Champion at All Out, holding the title for 182 days as the “Le Champion” and “Demo God” who helped boost early ratings. Additionally, he captured the ROH World Championship twice and mentored younger talent while delivering memorable promos. Still, his return to the promotion he helped establish was a jaw-dropper, as in recent months there had been widespread speculation that he was returning to WWE for a potential retirement run.  

Tully Blanchard, the legendary wrestling icon, has shared a heartfelt post on X celebrating an “Amazing day yesterday” with a photo suggesting he has tied the knot for a third time. The veteran star looked content and joyful, clearly cherishing quality time with his third wife. Now happily married, Blanchard continues to embrace life’s special moments after raising four children, including daughter Tessa Blanchard. Fans flooded the comments with love and support, appreciating that he had found love again in his 70s and celebrating his enduring legacy both in and out of the ring.

72-year-old  Blanchard, a second-generation wrestler, debuted in 1975 and rose to fame in the 1980s as a top heel. He captured the NWA World Television Championship, NWA United States Heavyweight Championship, and NWA World Tag Team titles with Arn Anderson. As an original member of the legendary Four Horsemen alongside Ric Flair, he dominated Jim Crockett Promotions for several years. From there, he joined the WWF, teaming with Anderson as the Brain Busters, winning the WWF World Tag Team Championship. Later, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 as part of the Four Horsemen, and more recently managed FTR in AEW. 

Lady Frost has wasted no time after entering free agency following her AEW departure, quickly signing with Major League Wrestling. According to Fightful Select, MLW showed immediate interest in the experienced wrestler, who has previously competed in ROH, TNA, and CMLL, and moved quickly to secure her services. While the exact length of the contract remains undisclosed, the 41-year-old is already scheduled to appear at several upcoming MLW tapings.

MLW and AEW present contrasting approaches to their wrestlers and overall product. AEW features a deep roster of high-profile stars, including Jon Moxley, Mercedes MonéS, werve Strickland, MJF, Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega, delivering athletic, high-flying matches with strong production values. In contrast, MLW adopts a hybrid style that showcases a mix of former WWE talents and independents, including Killer Kross, Kushida, Matt Riddle, and Baron Corbin. While AEW offers mainstream exposure and big-event spectacle, MLW provides more in-ring opportunities and creative freedom for experienced talents in a less polished environment.

On Tuesday night, Willie Mack expressed his frustration on X.com about receiving no bookings from AEW or ROH in 2026, calling himself a “Homeless Superhero,” which led some to assume he had departed the company. However, Fightful Select reports that the veteran wrestler does currently remain under contract with the promotion. Still, his deal has reverted to a “tier zero” per-appearance agreement after two years on a full-time, salaried agreement. The reasons for the change are unclear, though he has not wrestled for either AEW or ROH this year, with most of his bookings coming via JCW.

“Willie Mack is still under AEW contract, but it’s different than the contract he has been on in recent years. We’re told that Willie Mack was on a “tier zero” contract when he first joined AEW, which is basically a paid per appearance gig. However, he was moved to full-time the last two years, which is a salaried position. We’re told that recently, Willie Mack was put back on a tier zero deal. We’ve not got context as to why that happened, but he’s effectively on a per appearance deal.” – Fightful Select

AEW employs a flexible tiered contract system to manage its roster efficiently. Tier 0, often called an “Agreed to Appear” deal, functions as a per-appearance arrangement. Wrestlers receive a signing bonus and a number of dates, while AEW has the right of first refusal on external offers. This low-commitment option suits emerging or part-time talent and allows indie bookings. Higher tiers offer full-time salaried positions with increasing pay and perks, culminating in premium deals for top stars. The structure has helped AEW rapidly build its roster while keeping costs under control and allowing talent to take indie bookings if they wish.
