Last month, Artem Chingvintsev, known for appearing on Dancing With The Stars and being the husband of Nikki Garcia, was arrested for domestic violence. Yet while it’s known Garcia has since filed for divorce, it has remained unknown whether Chingvintsev would be prosecuted. However, the Napa County District Attorney’s Office has now issued a press release stating that they won’t be charging the dancer following “a thorough review of the criminal investigation and careful evaluation of the evidence.”
Chingvintsev came to fame first in the UK via Strictly Come Dancing before moving to the US and joining Dancing with the Stars. The 42-year-old Russian dancer would subsequently partner with names like Nancy Kerrigan, Mischa Barton, and Lea Thompson, although it was when he performed with Nikki Garcia, then known as Nikki Bella, that he would become known to pro wrestling fans. Yet, it should be noted that while they did become close friends at this time, it wasn’t until Garcia broke up with John Cena that they started dating.
