It was recently reported that MVP would be departing WWE following the expiration of his contract, which disappointed many fans. However, considering he had been absent from television for several months, it wasn’t a total surprise. And now indicating that his latest WWE run didn’t end on good times, having previously stated on social media that Triple H had prevented The Hurt Business from reforming, MVP has now called his former boss a “coward and a liar” while replying to Instagram comments.
50-year-old MVP, real name Alvin Burke Jr., returned to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2020 Royal Rumble match and subsequently wrestled Rey Mysterio the following night on Raw. At the time, it was believed this was his swansong as a WWE onscreen character, although following favorable fan feedback, he would be re-signed and went on to form The Hurt Business stable, which for a time was one of the highlights of WWE television. Still, WWE would disband the faction two years later, and MVP would instead become the manager of Omos.
