Over the last few weeks, multiple reports have emerged regarding individuals departing AEW. And while some would be confirmed by those affected themselves, others would be from second-hand sources. However, official confirmation has now been received, with AEW’s roster page no longer including Mark Henry, Arn Anderson, Jake Hager, and Paige VanZant.
With regard to Henry, Anderson, and Hager, it is believed the decision to move on was mutual, with all three men’s contracts having expired. Yet, in the case of VanZant, it’s understood to be slightly more complex as AEW did see her as a potential star and wanted to use her again. Yet the former UFC competitor decided she wasn’t interested in pursuing a career in pro wrestling and would go as far as to ghost her trainer, Gangrel.
