Mercedes Moné Calls The In-Ring Progress Of Fellow AEW Talent “Mind-Blowing”

Mercedes Moné first started training in 2008, and in 2010, she would make her in-ring debut. Since then, she has shared a ring with some of the biggest names in the business, making her more than qualified to comment on the abilities of other wrestlers. And now, during the recent issue of her online newsletter, the current AEW star has put over Harley Cameron for her willingness to learn, calling her progress “mind-blowing” and saying she can’t wait to use what she learned in her upcoming matches.

“I trained at Tyler Breeze’s school, Flatbacks, the day before and was excited to run into Harley Cameron. I invited her to the AEW school the next day, and it was amazing to have her in the ring alongside another powerhouse. My best friend Kalisto joined us to teach some Lucha techniques … The real standout moment? Watching Harley embrace her inner La Luchadora!

She pulled off moves I’d never seen her try before — walking the ropes, flipping off the top rope — you name it. Her progress was mind-blowing, and I can’t wait to see how she uses these new skills in her upcoming AEW matches.”

30-year-old Cameron is the wife of former WWE wrestler Xyon Quinn, who moved with him to the States in 2018 after he signed a developmental contract. Initially, it’s understood she planned to pursue a career as a singer and model, becoming a ring girl for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. However, in 2021, she would begin pursuing pro wrestling by training at the aforementioned Flatbacks Wrestling School, leading to her catching AEW’s attention thanks to her looks, charisma, and willingness to learn.
