Jim Ross has been single for several years, which has disappointed many fans who hoped the legendary wrestling commentator would have someone to spend his golden years with. And now, on his Grilling JR podcast, Ross has said he’s open to dating again after relocating to Oklahoma, though he hasn’t found anyone worth the heavy emotional investment.
Still, Ross kept the conversation light by humorously noting, “You still gotta have somebody to write to,” in reference to regular podcast sponsor Bluechew, a tablet designed to treat erectile dysfunction, putting “lead in your pencil.“
73-year-old Ross enjoyed a devoted 24-year marriage to Jan Grillette until her tragic death in a 2017 Vespa accident. Describing her as his rock and the love of his life, Ross has often shared how she made him a better man. Following her passing, he dated former WCW personality Missy Hyatt for nearly two years, starting around 2019. Hyatt publicly praised the relationship as mutually fulfilling before it ended over differing future goals, which she has said relate to her wanting to get married, while Ross seemingly didn’t.
