It’s known that Keith Lee has been dealing with an injury since 2022, and at one point, things got so bad that his highly anticipated match with Swerve Strickland at Worlds End had to be pulled at the last minute. Since then, it’s been confirmed he underwent surgery, although further updates have been limited. Still, Lee has now taken to X to thank fans for their support during his absence and stated, “We are not done,” indicating he will be able to make a comeback.
“I certainly don’t see them all, but I have seen many. I must take the time to say thank you. And I must take the time to tell you…. we are not done. Hang in there, just like I am. Whatever it is…. the time will come. Let’s move forward. Oh. And don’t forget to go vote.”
Keith LeeAt one time, 39-year-old Lee was considered a can’t-miss talent when he was part of WWE, and Vince McMahon apparently even told Randy Orton to make him look like a star when they first wrestled. Yet, it’s understood McMahon quickly soured on Lee and sent him to receive additional training, wanting to change what made him stand out in the first place. However, not long afterward, he was sidelined due to a heart condition, and his career faltered, leading to his eventual WWE release.
