Jeff Jarrett Reportedly Let Go By WWE

Last year Jeff Jarret was working as a producer for WWE before quietly being let go by the company due to budget cuts. However, three months ago, he returned as Senior Vice President of Live Events and even featured as the special guest referee for the Street Profits vs. The Usos match at SummerSlam. Now though, PWInsider.com has reported that he has been let go, with it believed he wrapped up his duties on Friday. Precisely why the decision to remove Jarrett wasn’t revealed, but as he was hired by Vince McMahon, who himself has since departed the company, Triple H may simply want to bring in his own person.

WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett departed his position as Senior Vice President of Live Events with World Wrestling Entertainment last week, PWInsider.com has exclusively confirmed with multiple sources. The belief among some is he finished his official duties this past Friday, but I can’t 100% confirm that timeline.

What the future holds for Jarrett remains to be seen. However, the 55-year-old is still considered an active wrestler, having participated in Ric Flair’s retirement match on July 31st. And prior to his WWE return, he was involved in an angle in GCW against Effy. Yet, whether he would be welcomed back is unknown, as he purposely ensured he won the first match promising to return for a rematch, yet then signed with WWE. With some suspecting, he was well aware he was WWE bound prior to the match and therefore knew no rematch would take place.
