In an X exchange, WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill firmly refuted accusations that she uses performance-enhancing drugs. This was in response to a fan’s comment questioning her impressive strength and appearance. Cargill emphasized that WWE subjects all talent to extensive, frequent drug testing and urged the critic to drop the topic, bluntly calling him an idiot. Her fiery response not only defended her natural dedication and hard work but also highlighted WWE’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a healthy environment despite persistent online skepticism about wrestlers’ physiques.
WWE’s Talent Wellness Program, established in February 2006 following the tragic death of Eddie Guerrero, combines rigorous substance abuse testing with comprehensive health monitoring. Independently administered by third-party medical experts, including Aegis Sciences Corporation for drug testing, the program is fully funded by WWE. It strictly prohibits anabolic steroids, PEDs, masking agents, and illegal drugs while incorporating annual physicals, cardiovascular screenings, blood work, and brain function testing. Talent faces random testing at least four times per year, often more, with penalties ranging from 30-day suspensions to potential release for repeat violations.
