TKO Wants Huge Name To Wrestle At Elimination Chamber

WWE is returning to Australia next February, and if pre-registrations are anything to go by, they will have no issues selling out the 60,000-seater Optus Stadium in Perth for Elimination Chamber. And adding to the hype for the event, Australian publication The West has now reported that TKO Group Holdings, WWE’s parent company, wants to have The Rock compete. The reasoning behind this is that TKO intends for next year’s WrestleMania to be an “absolute showstopper,” and the Elimination Chamber would be part of the build toward The Rock vs Roman Reigns.

“There is a strong suggestion the company, which also owns the UFC, wants its first WrestleMania in charge to be an absolute showstopper. As a result there is talk The Rock might very well wrestle in Perth at the Elimination Chamber in February on his way to WrestleMania to face Reigns two months later.”

Two weeks ago on SmackDown, The Rock returned to WWE television for the first time since 2019, alongside Pat McAfee for a segment with Austin Theory. And given he previously disclosed while appearing on The Pat McAfee Show he was open to wrestling at WrestleMania 40 against Reigns, it seems that was just the beginning. Plus, when you consider that during his last WWE run, which concluded at WrestleMania 29, he wrestled at both The Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber, it seems plausible he may do so again.
