WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart’s beloved red-and-white megaphone, a hallmark of his managerial career, was stolen during WrestleCade in Winston-Salem on November 29. This devastated the “Mouth of the South,” who desperately wanted his famous prop back, and therefore was clearly overjoyed when he took to social media earlier this week to reveal he had it back, calling it a “great Christmas present“. And now Fightful Select has reported that event organizers used security footage to identify the thief, who agreed to mail it back to avoid charges.
81-year-old Hart rose from a 1960s band called The Gentrys to an iconic wrestling manager, first in Memphis and then in WWE. Famously, he worked alongside some of the best heels of the ’80s and ’90s, including Greg Valentine, Honky Tonk Man, the Hart Foundation, the Nasty Boys, and Money Inc. However, his time alongside Hulk Hogan in both WWE and WCW is likely how he is best remembered nowadays. And while he has been out of the spotlight for several years, he still makes occasional appearances on WWE television, thanks to his Legends contract.
