Gzim Selmani, best known to wrestling fans as Rezar of the dominant Authors of Pain tag team, made his bare-knuckle fighting debut on Saturday night, winning a brutal second-round knockout. Fighting for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship organisation, the former WWE talent with an MMA background defeated Dan Curtin, and subsequently cut a profanity-laced rant where he declared himself the “Albanian Psycho” and that he is ready to knock “motherf*ckers” out.
“I’m here to knock motherf*ckers out anywhere in the motherf*cking world. Come get it, motherf*ckers. I’m f*cking done with everybody. Motherf*ckers. Give it. Get it. F*ck this place, too. What? Give it. Give it to me. I’m the motherf*cking Albanian Psycho. I’m the motherf*cker who came from WWE to this place. I fought my ass off, and I’m here.” – Gzim Selmani
31-year-old Selmani made his WWE debut in 2016 alongside Akam, and together they were heavily pushed in NXT, at one point appearing to be the future of tag team wrestling in WWE. Called up to Raw in 2018, they subsequently dominated and soon claimed the Raw Tag Team Championships, and later aligned with Seth Rollins as his enforcers. And while the duo would be released in 2020, they were rehired in 2023, re-debuting the following year on SmackDown.
