Former nWo member and WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase has expressed his disapproval over Dennis Rodman’s induction into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame. Speaking on his podcast, the legendary “Million Dollar Man” argued that Rodman, despite limited WCW appearances with the nWo, was never a genuine wrestler and only entered the ring a handful of times. DiBiase insists the honor belongs to dedicated wrestling veterans rather than celebrities, comparing it to him going into the NFL Hall of Fame because “I was a pretty good football player.“
“He wasn’t a wrestler. You’re gonna put a guy who might have been in a wrestling ring two or three times in the Hall of Fame just because of his name, put him in the Basketball Hall of Fame where he belongs, but not the wrestling Hall of Fame. To put a guy in the wrestling Hall of Fame just because he has a celebrity name in baseball or basketball, that just irks the hell out of me. What did they really do to deserve being in a wrestling Hall of Fame? Nothing. I was a pretty good football player. Why don’t they put me in the NFL Hall of Fame? I think that’s stupid.” – Ted DiBiase
WWE’s Celebrity Wing celebrates non-wrestlers who left memorable marks through appearances, storylines, or long-term ties to the company. From Pete Rose’s comedic WrestleMania bits and Mike Tyson’s star power as enforcer, to Mr. T’s major tag match at the first WrestleMania and athletes like William “The Refrigerator” Perry, who actually competed, inductees vary widely. While some brought genuine, memorable moments, others, like Rodman, rely more on name value and brief cameos, sparking debate over whether crossover fame alone warrants immortality when names like Rick Martell, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Miss Elizabeth remain omitted.
