Former AEW Talent Returns During Rampage Taping

On Thursday night, AEW taped Friday’s edition of AEW Rampage at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto. And during a backstage segment with The Dark Order, Stu Grayson would make a surprise return by placing his hand unexpectedly on top of the other members as a show of unity. Naturally, this would get a massive pop from the live crowd, although as of writing, it isn’t confirmed he has officially re-signed with the promotion, or it was simply a one-off appearance due to the company being in his home country of Canada.

33-year-old Grayson and his long-term partner Evil Uno were two of AEW’s initial signings and debuted for the promotion at their Double or Nothing event in 2019. Over the course of the next three years, he’d wrestle almost 80 times for the promotion, with many of his matches being tag and multi-man matches on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation. However, when it came time for his contract to be renewed ahead of its April 30th expiry, no deal could be reached, and he would subsequently depart from the promotion.
