Filmmaker Reveals Who He Wanted To Interview For Raven’s New Documentary But Couldn’t

Nevermore: The Raven Effect” is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and therefore, the ECW original, along with filmmaker Geordie Day, are currently making podcast appearances to promote the documentary. And now, while appearing on Talk Is Jericho, Day has revealed the two names they wanted to interview but were unable to, who were Stevie Richards and Paul Heyman. Why Richards refused is unclear, although he has previously stated that Raven bullied him early in his career, while Heyman was unable to due to his WWE contract.

“We were hoping to get Stevie Richards. He wasn’t game… I think because of WWE, Paul Heyman wasn’t able to do it.”Geordie Day

61-year-old Raven broke into the business in 1988 after earning a degree in criminal justice and serving in the Marine Corps Reserves. From there, he worked under the names Scotty The Body, Scotty Flamingo, and Johnny Polo before totally reinventing himself in ECW as Raven, a character inspired by the famous Edgar Allan Poe’s poem. However, it’s sadly known that his health nowadays isn’t good, with it recently disclosed that he has been diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s disease.
