Deonna Purrazzo Denies Boyfriend Steve Cutler Put WWE Personnel At Risk

The Forgotten Sons stable, consisting of Jaxson Ryker, Steve Cutler, and Wesley Blake, were disbanded after Ryker caused controversy with tweets supporting Trump following George Floyd’s passing and BLM protests. All three men went on a long hiatus, but Ryker is now part of Raw, and Cutler and Blake recently returned to SmackDown to work with Baron Corbin as The Knights of the Lone Wolf.

However, on Thursday, WWE announced Cutler had been released, with it believed he was told while straining at the Performance Center. The reported reason was Vince McMahon was furious that Cutler had gone to a New Year’s Eve party and then tested positive. McMahon felt this was a disciplinary issue and was particularly angry as he had promised Roman Reigns a safe working environment to get him to return last year.

Now Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo has taken to Twitter, seemingly believing these reports were implying her boyfriend Cutler had put others in danger. She confirmed they had attended a New Year’s Eve party together but insists Cutler not put anyone at risk as he tested positive before SmackDown and was sent home.

Other’s wrestlers have recently been photographed and filmed at parties, including Ricochet, Kacy Catanzaro, and Damien Priest. Although none of them subsequently tested positive, so appear to have remained off McMahon’s radar. McMahon also possibly considered Cutler nonessential and released him to send a message to the rest of the roster.

Some fans have suggested Cutler could have a cause against WWE for unfair dismissal. Still, it’s questionable whether he would win as WWE contracts are heavily weighted in the companies favor. Purrazzo herself was released by WWE last April as part of their mass cuts due to WWE wanting to save money and feeling she was not ready to appear on television.
