At one time, Daniel Cormier vs. Brock Lesnar was considered a dream fight for many MMA fans, however, it never transpired. And now, during a new interview, Cormier has addressed this while speaking to Demetrious Johnson, revealing that WWE paid Lesnar more than UFC to stay with them. Additionally, he would note that the WWE legend is currently “on the ban list right now,” and said he is “in so much trouble,” seemingly in reference to Janel Grant’s lawsuit.
48-year-old Lesnar was meant to participate in the men’s Royal Rumble match in 2024, but following Grant’s problematic allegations, he was pulled, and Bron Breakker took his spot. Still, with Paul Heyman having name-dropped Lesnar during his Hall of Fame induction speech and Triple H failing to verify his time with WWE is over when questioned during press conferences, it does appear the door is at least ajar for a potential return.
