Following the news that Allie, also known as The Bunny, had departed AEW, many fans have been wondering what the status of her husband, The Blade, and his tag partner, The Butcher, was. However, it has been confirmed by wrestling podcaster Kimmy Sokol on X.com and verified by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp that the duo currently remains part of Tony Khan’s promotion. This is likely because they joined AEW later than Allie and, therefore, have different contact expiry dates.
The Blade, real name Jesse Guilmette, and The Butcher, real name Andy Williams, launched their tag team in 2017 and, after a couple of years on the indie circuit, signed with AEW in 2019. They would debut for the promotion by attacking Cody Rhodes, with it later revealed that MJF had sent them to take him out. Since then, they would become regular performers on AEW’s now defunct YouTube shows but would also frequently appear on television. Still, over the past six months, they have only wrestled five times, and their last appearance was a dark match before Dynamite.
