While CJ Perry, better known to wrestling fans as Lana, is no longer an on-screen character for WWE, she is connected to the company via a Legends deal. And now, during an interview with TMZ Inside the Ring, the model-turned-wrestler has revealed that she actually cried upon hearing the offer from her agent, seemingly shocked that the company considered her in the same category as talents as Victoria and Jacqueline Moore, who have the same deal.
40-year-old Perry debuted in WWE in 2013 as the Russian-accented manager of her future husband, Rusev. From there, she would be involved in the Bulgarians’ feuds with star names like John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, and Bobby Lashley, and even wrestled herself sporadically. However, she was released in 2021, and while she was briefly part of AEW, she now appears to be focused on projects outside the ring, having just launched a podcast called Identity Crisis.
