At this past Sunday’s All Out pay-per-view, CJ Perry, best known to wrestling fans as Lana for her time in WWE, made her AEW debut. However, it was noticeable that she was not referred to by either name, instead being called “Miro’s Wife” and “Mrs. Miro” on commentary. And now it’s been reported by Fightful Select that it’s possible a name still needs to be selected for her.
“Lana/CJ Perry’s deal came together in the week or so prior to AEW All Out, we’re told. We’re not even sure a name has been decided as of yet.”
Fightful SelectPerry previously stated during a virtual autograph signing that she prefers to use her WWE name over her real name and has claimed that she would have no problem legally going by Lana elsewhere. Therefore, AEW’s legal department may be thoroughly investigating this before giving her the go-ahead to use the mononym which she found fame under.
